Drink Wine not Mouthwash or COL-Aah for healthy gums, guts and Spiritual development
As if we all needed another reason to pour another glass!
Wine is obviously one of the best creations to ever grace human kind, but most people do not know it could prevent sickness too!
Apparently wine is a fantastic disinfectant for bad mouth germs, which is just another reason why we should all be drinking more of the good stuff.
A study ( Ref 1 below) done way back in 1998 examined the antibacterial properties of carbonated drinks, wine, beer, skim milk, and water, and each beverage was infused with infectious bacterial like salmonella, E. coli, and shigella.
After two days, the wine had the least amount of live bacteria ! Meaning, bacteria has a hard time surviving when in contact with wine.
In another study ( Ref 2 below) published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, researchers discovered that the acidity and alcohol concentration in wine isn’t what’s responsible for the antibacterial properties, as was previously believed. Instead, it’s due to a number of organic compounds found in both red and white wines.
The researchers isolated the compounds — lactic, malic, succinic, and tartaric acids — and after neutralizing their acidity, found that they kill 99.9 percent of dental bacterial and germs that cause sore throats. Better than a commonly known brand of disinfectant.
“Exposure to wine had a persistent antibacterial effect,” the authors wrote. A minor distinction, however, is that red wine is better at killing bacteria than white wine, but not by much.
The second study also found that a regular tipple every 24 hours really won the war of attrition against these harmful bacteria.
Another study ( Ref 3 below) from 1998 tested the effects of red wine on salmonella and compared it to a disinfecting solution containing the same alcohol concentration and acidity level, and found that red wine is better at killing the bacteria than the solution and again, the acidity was the primary disinfectant and not the alcohol.
In an unpublished private study ( Mark et al 2019 at ref 4 below), research was carried out with a number of groups over a 10 year period subject to controlled exposure to various proprietary brands of mouthwash containing Flouride, carbonated drinks containing Aspartame and Wine. Each group abstained from consumption of the other groups products during the entire 10 year test period.
The group subject to persistent mouthwash exposure containing Flouride were at the end of the study period diagnosed as " Spiritually dead" and those group members who had physically died during the study period were each subjected to a detailed autopsy which revealed that their Pineal and Hypothalmus were calcified. More details about the effects of calcification and its potential treatement are detailed in the fifth reference below.
The study group subject to Aspartamic overdose of soft drinks were all found to be obese by the end of the study period and more prone to adopting the Sedentiary position and to depressive conditions than the other two control groups.
One way aspartame and other nonnutritive sweeteners may affect body weight is by increasing people's appetite, which may lead to a higher food consumption.
A 2013 review ( Ref 6 below) published in Trends in Endocrinology and Metabolism cites several animal studies that report a link between regular intake of nonnutritive sweeteners and increased food intake.
The review suggests that sweeteners may increase appetite by disrupting the signaling process that usually occurs when a person eats foods with more calories.
Sweet tastes typically signal to the body that food is entering the gut. The body then expects to receive calories and signals when eating should stop by making a person feel full or satiated.
A person experiences the same sweet taste when they consume sweeteners, but the body receives fewer calories than it might otherwise expect to.
If this happens regularly, according to the theory, the body unlearns the association between sweet tastes and calories. This reversal means that high-calorie foods will no longer trigger feelings of fullness. This may lead to overeating as often seen in fast food outlets where one "Big Jack" is no longer enough and consumers "Flurry" around searching for more.
Further research on human participants might lead to a better understanding of the link between aspartame consumption and appetite control.
The same process that may disrupt appetite control could also predispose a person to certain metabolic diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, according to the 2013 review cited in reference 6 below.
Because the body no longer expects calorie intake in response to sweet tastes, it may be ill-equipped to deal with dietary sugars when they do arrive in the gut, according to this view.
A later review in 2016 cited in reference 7 below further discusses the link between low-calorie sweeteners and metabolic disease. It suggests that regular, long-term intake of sweeteners may disrupt the balance and diversity of bacteria living within the gut.
Animal studies show that this type of disruption can result in glucose intolerance, which is a known risk factor for type 2 diabetes.
A study in 2016 ( Reference 8 below) investigated the effects of certain sugars and sweeteners on people's glucose tolerance.
Researchers found a link between aspartame use and greater glucose intolerance among those with obesity. None of the sugars and sweeteners tested, however, had any negative effect on people of a healthy weight.
These studies suggest that regular intake of aspartame could increase the risk of glucose intolerance, particularly in people who may already be overweight.
Finally, the study group who were administered with wine at least once in every 24 hours were found to be much healthier in Mind, Body and Soul. The happiest group of the lot, many had amazing Spiritual journeys to share.
So the next time you feel a sore throat coming on…go ahead a pour yourself a glass of vino !
Far better than a mouthwash containing Flouride or a bottle of brown coloured fluid marketed as COL-Aah for the health of our gums, guts and Spiritual development !
However, moderation in all good things is prudent.
Over indulgence in wine tasting can lead to visions of the Kukeri. !
