Well votes have been counted and checked and we are very pleased to announce that the winner was for one our the Seniors Lauren Thomas.

If you or anyone you know is looking for Residential Care living 🩷🩵, we wanted to let you know that on Thursday 26th February between 10am-4pm, here, at MHA Morel Court Residential Home, on Raisdale Road, Penarth, we are holding an "Open Day."
The day will give you opportunities to have a look around and meet our welcoming team, and a chance to ask any questions.
We will have an area where refreshments will be served, a chance to join in with some activities on for that day, so you get to have a feel of the warmth and caring environment that all staff in all departments give, if you are lucky, you may get to meet our in house cat Scottie.
MHA Morel Court, has lovely gardens to enjoy, a wonderful caring team, activities programme to join in with, as well as delicious meals to enjoy, and a stones throw away from beautiful views of the Cliff tops.

Today we started our first cooking club that was inspired by some residents that had expressed interest
Florence and Sarah were a great team and made macaroni cheese which was then served at lunch, they put on ppe and washed their hands and then they pretty much took over the kitchen and definately taught shanelle a thing or two
Lots of knowledge and memories of cooking were shared and they finished off by decorating some cup cakes and were keen to know when the next club is

This afternoon we had the 🔴🐲dragons and the 🔵🐯tigers go head to head playing skittles 🎳.
They have been clearly practicing, as they are getting better everytime, as it was a case of STRIKE ONE!!, STRIKE TWO!!! 👏👏👏 .
The team that won with 229 points were the red dragons 🏆. The blue tigers with 192.
Although, in our eyes they are all winners.

Today we put out some activity sheets about birds, to encourage them to be used to complete a wordsearch, bird spotting sheet and a colouring page. A resident wanted to go out into the garden for a walk and to see if she could spot any, some were seen flying high and one perched in a tree. It is nice to bring nature activities in for them to enjoy and still learn. 🐦🕊🦅🦉🐦‍⬛🪿

This morning we had the pleasure of having Sian's Fashions in, so the residents had the chance to shop in the comfort of their home if they fancied having a look.
Sian's Fashions have been going since 1984, and have been visiting Morel Court for many years, but next month, they will be retiring, so we all wish you a Happy Retirement. Thank you for bringing the residents past and present your service to them.
