If an airline damages your wheelchair, the payout may be far less than the chair is worth.
The UK Civil Aviation Authority says compensation for damaged mobility equipment may be limited to around £1,300 and any temporary replacement provided does not have to be like for like.
That is exactly why it is so important to think about insuring your wheelchair or powerchair, not just your holiday.
We cannot recommend insurance products, and it is always important to check the policy wording carefully, but we do work in partnership with Fish Insurance, who provide specialist cover for accessible travel and mobility equipment. The reason we work with them - their people are great!
