🙂🙂Our NEW classes have got off to a great start and we still have a few places left! TaiCheenies - our unique Tai Chi class for babies and toddlers - combines Tai Chi Shibashi with laughter yoga to give parents the opportunity to exercise whilst entertaining our young children as well as learn how to pass the benefits on
to children of all ages. It's a fun way to exercise with other parents!

If you are older and want something to help you develop strength and balance, improve your posture, boost your immune system, reduce anxiety and slow down the aging process, then the Strength & Balance classes are for you. Here we mostly focus on Shibashi set 1 with some seated Tai Chi to develop a personalised practice which will support us most.

We also have a few sessions left of our Tai Chi Shibashi classes for people with disabilities. Carers can accompany for free so that you can both benefit and encourage each other.

And of course we have several meditation classes every week!

Are you looking for a fun and effective way to exercise? In Taicheenies we adapt Tai Chi Shibashi movements so that we can exercise while entertaining our little ones. Plus...we can pass on what we learn so they have these essential coping skills right from the start.

Classes are every Wednesday morning at The Nest @ Acorn, Llantwit Major and are suitable from pregnancy. Bring your babies from newborn to 18 months.

In just 7 days of combining mind-body exercises with meditation, scientists were able to demonstrate, "improved brain efficiency, boosted immune signaling, and increased natural pain relief chemicals in participants’ blood. The effects even promoted neuron growth and stronger brain connectivity."

So basically, just 7 days boosted the immune system, improved brain function, reduced pain and even grew new neurons (which protects us from ageing and diseases such as dementia). Amazing! 🙂

Are you looking for a gentle movement class for yourself? Or one you can do WITH your baby?

Starting Wednesday April 15th - NEW Tai Chi Shibashi classes at The Nest @ Acorn, Llantwit Major, for all ages:

10am - 11am - TAI CHEENIES - a parents' group with a difference! Come and find out how Tai Chi Shibashi can benefit you and your little ones. These classes help during pregnancy and postnatally - come and exercise WITH your baby or young toddler (suitable up to approx. 18 months). Classes involve movement and sensory play as you exercise together.

11:15am - 12:15pm - Over 60s Strength & Balance class - Tai Chi has been clinically shown to help us grow stronger and improve balance, reducing falls and injuries and helping us recover from injury and illness. These classes involve breathing for relaxation, and a mix of sitting and standing exercises. Classes are small and informal - go at your own pace and learn how to adapt the moves to best support you.

I'm so looking forward to being able to share more classes this term as I know from personal experience, as well as several decades of teaching, that these practices work!

Starting tomorrow! Tai Chi Shibashi classes for people with disabilities, long term conditions and carers.
10 classes available at a reduced cost for limited time only.

Tai Chi Shibashi has been shown in clinical trials to help with:
Managing pain and discomfort
Reducing anxiety
Building strength, flexibility & balance
Improving immune, cardiovascular and digestive systems
Improving sleep
Weight loss

These classes are specifically tailored for people with disabilities and long term conditions, and carers, to learn some simple but effective movements and breath exercises which will start benefitting you straight away. Exercises can be done sitting, standing or lying down, and are adapted for personal use.

Carers can accompany the person they care for for free, or attend on their own so that they can benefit themselves as well as learning some techniques to pass on.

Come and experience friendly, informal classes, where everyone is welcomed and invited to go at their own pace, and supported in adapting the exercises for their own use.

The venue is fully wheelchair accessible and you will also receive links to videos for home practise.

So lucky to have such a beautiful commute to work! It's not easy running your own business but when you get to run classes and workshops in stunning locations it makes up for the hard work, and it reminds me to practise appreciation. Appreciation helps to offset our natural negativity bias, which is always looking for problems. When we stop and appreciate what's here, it softens the difficulties we have to manage. Anyway, back to the computer now...
