Tonight! A new men’s group at Llanrumney Hall Community Trust — a safe, relaxed space to talk, listen and realise you’re not on your own.
No advice, no fixing — just real conversations that help lift the weight. 7pm, Llanrumney Hall. Lovely bunch of people!
Every two weeks, Tuesday at 7pm – Llanrumney Hall
A relaxed, confidential space for men to talk, listen and connect. No judgement, no pressure, no “fixing” — just honest conversations with people who get it.
How it works
Just turn up at 7pm. A facilitator will meet you at the door and introduce you to a few of the lads. We know walking into something new can feel tough — everyone in the room has been there, and you’ll be made to feel welcome.
What happens in the meeting
At 7pm we open with a quick intro about HELPU and the group. We agree on simple ground rules: confidentiality, respect, listening. Then we go round the room — you share if you want to, or you’re welcome just to sit, listen and take it in.
Do I have to talk?
No. You’re free to share whenever you feel ready.
Do I need to book?
No — just show up.
Does it cost anything?
No. The group is run by volunteers and supported by HELPU.
Tea, coffee and water provided.
If you’re struggling
The group can be a supportive place, but please also reach out for professional help if you’re in crisis.
Nervous about coming?
Totally normal. Many men tell us the first step through the door was the hardest — and the most important. Come when you’re ready. We’ll meet you where you are.
