What a pleasure it was to welcome this lovely group from UCAN Productions and Parsley 🐶 to our training centre yesterday to complete a bespoke Emergency First Aid course.

Most of the group were visually impaired or have no vision at all therefore we tailored the delivery to suit their needs.
This consisted of:
*Listening to different breathing sounds via bluetooth speaker for them to determine what the patient was suffering from (asthma , anxiety attack , anaphylaxis , agonal)

*When performing the breathing check on the primary survey, the importance of maintaining the airway and feeling rather than looking to see if the chest/stomach is rising and falling.

*When performing CPR and using the AED the location and the feel of hand placement and pad placement.

This proves that first aid can be achieved and first aid training should be accesible and inclusive. Yes somethings will have to deviate from the "book" but that's what life's about ❤️

An incredible example of teamwork and professionalism from our staff last week at the Cardiff Utilita Arena.

Four of our medical staff responded immediately to a female in cardiac arrest. Thanks to medical interventions and high-quality CPR, a return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) was achieved within just five minutes.

Working seamlessly alongside the Welsh Ambulance Service, the patient was stabilised and transported to the University Hospital of Wales for further care.

We couldn’t be prouder of the team ❤️

An additional thank you must go to the managers of the Arena and the Showsec Supervisors who provided scene management which enabled us to provide the medical care that was needed.

Unfortunately, within the events industry, medical cover is too often driven by cost rather than quality, and can become an afterthought until something goes wrong.

That’s why it’s important to recognise and credit the Utilita Arena, who take a proactive and responsible approach by working closely with us to carry out thorough medical risk assessments for every event.

We spent a brilliant 3 days at our training centre in Cardiff delivering the First Aid At Work course to Staff from Welsh Water, The Cathedral School, CMB Engineering and Cardiff Met University. These Guys threw themselves into the course and dealt really well with challenging scenarios 👊👊👊 Well done lads!!

Congratulations to the staff from Cardiff Met Strength and Conditioning, Ysgol Glantaf and Nudge Safety for requalifying their First Aid At Work with us this week. We really pushed this group with different challenges to see what they had retained from 3 years ago. All passed their MCQ papers easily 👊

Well with only one show left to provide medical support for and our training courses finished for 2025 that will be a wrap from us.

We would love to introduce to you our new training centre. It literally has killed us getting this ready and up to standard. Scary step but very exciting purchasing our own centre.

Not quite the finished article yet but when we invite you to see our training centre you will see a scenario floor, state of the art classroom alongside our immersive suite.

The centre will also include office for staff and meeting rooms for staff development and catch ups.

We are going to rest up now over Christmas so we can hit the ground running in January. Thank you so much for all of your support in 2025 it really means everything to us!!

That's it!! The end of an era for our Llanishen Training Centre in Llanishen Village. We have loved growing and developing the business from here but it's now time to move on. Big news coming real soon!!!!

Well last week was crazy to say the least! The training team were teaching Welsh Water , Ogi and Tenovus Cancer Charity whilst the Medical Team covered Bastille , Five , John Bishop, Volbeat, Loyle Carner and The Offspring. Thank you to all the staff for your hard work. 6 weeks of silly season left!
