Do you know how Chevron Amethyst got its name?🤔

The term refers to a line in the shape of a V which accurately describes the V striped or chevron pattern. It is a mixture of Amethyst and White Quartz, often showing dark purple layers contrasted with white layers.

This post is for all the specimen lovers out there!☺️❤️

We have been extremely busy at CrystalsnGems over the last few days. We search high and low for the very best quality crystals, and this weeks batch is full of beauty and high quality. For this specimen edition of Star of the Post these three crystals all share first place!

First up we have a rare Selenite with Calcite specimen in vibrant white and yellow. Next we have this absolutely extraordinary Hedenbergite Quarts with ilvaite specimen. Perhaps its the delicate green crystals on top but it reminds me of Kryptonite from Superman.🦸‍♂️💚😂 Lastly we have a rare high quality Eye of The Devil Calcite specimen. Hello there crystal community☺️

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Lets start the week off the right way with a brand new edition of Star of The Post . This week we have some lovely hearts for you that could make a lovely Mothers Day gift. Alongside the hearts we also have an amazing slice and wand as well. Lets see who won Star of The Post!

🥇First place this week has to go to the high quality Rainbow Fluorite Slice. I love the deep purple on this slice. It really does look like a rainbow! 🌈

🥈Second place goes to the Sodalite Hearts. Perhaps I'm a bit biased here because blue is my favourite colour, but you really cannot deny its beauty!

🥉Third place goes to the black Obsidian wand with a Tigers Eye skull. I know Halloween is months away, but this would be perfect for Halloween. 🎃🧡 Also it has Tigers Eye and I have a new love for Tigers Eye since doing a Fun Fact Friday all about it a few weeks ago.

Having done a Fun Fact Friday about Labradorite last Friday, I can definitely see why the Inuits believed the stone trapped the northern lights inside of it.

Hi everyone! 😊👋

Firstly, I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I hope you all enjoyed the Fun Fact Friday all about Labradorite. I had no idea that it has such a strong link with Inuit culture. It was also fascinating to learn about how different countries are well known for specific types of Labradorite. Next weeks Fun Fact Friday will be all about Tigers Eye, so stay tuned!🐅🧡

🥇This weeks winner is the Uv reactive Pink Calcite skull. I love the colour of it and how bright its Uv reactivity is.

🥈Coming in close in second place is the Moonstone and Sunstone Moon. The colours it has makes it look like an incredible sunset! 🌇

🥉Finally in third place is the Rose Quartz egg. I had to give it third place because it is simply so majestic. It would be a wonderful Mothers Day gift.🤍

We have been hard at work today adding brand new carvings and spheres to our website. That means its time for Star of the Post! 🤩

🥇First place for me goes to the Uv Reactive Kunzite sphere. The Uv is so bright, and I absolutely love the purple colour.

🥈Second place could have gone to lots of different items. After much thought I have decided to give it to the Prehnite and Epidote flame carving. The black and green colours on this item compliment each other so well!

🥉Sneaking into third place is the Pistachio Calcite sphere. Having loaded many crystals onto our website, I'm really starting to love the pistachio colour that some crystals have.

This week at CrystalsnGems has been incredibly successful!☺️

I've finally figured out how to take control of our Instagram and Facebook.
