My name's Kate and I've been running Tots Play Cardiff North since September 2014. My Award Winning classes are so much fun, while giving your little ones a developmental boost! We have a great mix of activities in each session - Baby & Toddler Yoga, Sign Language, Music & Movement, Instruments, Baby Massage, Story Massage, Bubbles, Sensory Play and loads more! All designed to intrigue, stimulate and encourage your little one to develop their senses through play!

🧡I have 5 different classes, suitable from Birth to 2.5 years old.:
💙Baby Development (Birth to 6 months old)
💙Discovery Tots (8-12 weeks to active crawling)
💙Younger Social Tots (crawling to 15 months)
💙Social Tots (crawling to 2.5 years)
💙Daddy & Me classes - once a month on a Saturday morning

All of my sessions are very friendly and welcoming! We help to support Parents and Carers to build friendships at classes.

🧡Open invite after each class to go into Jump Soft Play (directly next door) for FREE together after each class, or for a coffee & cake over the road at Moo Moo's Coffee Shop inside Llanishen Leisure Centre

I enjoyed that so much!! 😁

🐰Thank you for coming today everyone!! We bounced like bunnies, tipped upside down like ducks 🦆, shook the parachute high and low and played hard with my orange scented sensory rice 🍊, ‘chocolate’ scented play dough 🍫, sensory egg pit and sensory toys! And of course popped lots of bubbles! 🫧

A big thank you to my daughters for helping and for taking lots of the photos today!! 🥰 I love showing them that hard work pays off and they earn ‘wages’ for their help 🫶

I hope the Tots loved their little gifts! 😍 And I hope everyone who stayed for coffee enjoyed it ☕️ 😋

👋 Sometimes having a baby can be a lonely time. Having a baby is truly a life changing and wonderful time full of love 🧡
But it can also be super tiring, isolating and a time when you feel you’ve kind of lost the ‘old you’ a bit

🥰You love your little one with all your heart but what are you meant to be doing with them all day (in between the 😴, or lack of, feeding, changing, possibly chasing an older child around..the list goes on) to help them develop and to entertain them?!

🥰 Getting out and meeting other parents can feel daunting – what if you don’t have anything to talk about? What it it’s clicky and no one even speaks to you? What if your baby cries or sleeps?

😃 One of the things I’m passionate about is trying to help Mums find friends 🧡I try really hard to make all my classes a very friendly and welcoming place, that will have you leaving with a smile on your face

🧡 And if you think, ok some of this sounds like me and I’d quite like to start getting out more…well maybe you would like to come and try some classes with me?
🧡 I offer a lovely mix of activities all designed to give your little one a developmental boost while being super fun!
😍One of the best bits about my classes is that’s it all super easy to recreate at home! So if you’ll have lots of options to hand to have a go with!

🧡 For our youngest Babies we have our fab 6 week Baby Development Course. It’s great for getting you out of the house and meeting new friends!
🧡My Courses are kept smaller than my other classes so that you can all get to know each other, there’s a private Whatsapp group and we set up coffees after class!
🧡 We learn Baby Massage, Baby Yoga, Sign Language, Sensory Play, Fun Tummy Time, Methods to Help Calm and Soothe and lots more!
🧡 My next Courses start in 2 weeks and I have some space available! I would love to welcome you along too!

This week in photos! 😍

It’s only been 5 weeks of running classes at Caerleon Child Care but oh my goodness it feels like home!! I was so sad packing up the room today, ready for their holiday club & for me to take everything over to Thornhill next week for my Easter Parties!

A really big thank you for coming this term!! It’s honestly been the most busiest, craziest term behind the scenes I’ve ever had in nearly 12 years and I’m really looking forward to a rest at the end of next week! I’m so tired!!

But it’s been a magic 11 weeks with you all!! The Tots have done brilliantly and it’s been such a pleasure to see them, and you, enjoying classes!

We’ve had jelly play, water play, ice play, ball play & so much more! 17 babies graduated from my Baby Development Course this week & there’s been countless coffees and chats after class 🥰

We said some really sad goodbyes this week 😭 I’m not very good at good byes! I go into denial!
Thank you so much for all the really kind words in your lovely cards and for the gifts!! One clever Mummy made me this stunning sunflower sun catcher!! How beautiful!! Thank you all very much!!

Special mention to Sophie & family - she has been with me non stop since pre Covid times with both her beautiful boys!! Shes seen the Scout Hut (anyone else remember this, St Isans & Jump back in the day?!!), online classes during Covid times (remember Friday night wine night anyone?!), petitioning the Senedd to reopen baby classes, finally finding a venue in the Rugby Club to reopen and now Caerleon Child Care! What a journey we’ve had together - it feels like two minutes ago her youngest was a tiny babe in arms!!

And so onto my 🐣 Easter Parties 🐣 next week!! I’ve been so busy preparing for these, all that’s left to do is make my chocolate (vegan) play dough this weekend and pick & pack everything up! Oh and set up obviously!!
Please help me spread the word - it’s been so busy I haven’t spent as much time as I needed to to shout about them and I have quite a lot of spaces available. All welcome! I’d really appreciate any help spreading the word, they are such fun sessions!! More info on my pinned post!
