Recently extensively refurbished, Regency House is a purpose-built care home in Ely, on the outskirts of Cardiff, with 58 single rooms and 6 shared rooms, all en-suite. We are pleased to be able to offer award-winning design initiatives in addition to our high standards of residential and nursing care. Our relationship-centred ethos, which recognises the unique needs and expectations of the individual, allows us to tailor a care package that ensures that we meet the emotional, physical and social well-being of our residents. We empower our residents to carry on living a fulfilled life and support them to continue the everyday routines and activities they are used to but thought they may have left behind.

This month was a very special one at Regency House as we welcomed a brand-new couple to their new home. What made it even more meaningful was being able to invite their lovely friend to join them for dinner — sharing food, conversation, and familiar faces around the table.

🎄💚 Spreading Christmas Cheer in Our Community 💚🎄

This Christmas, we are incredibly proud to share that our team, residents, and families at Regency House have come together to raise £320, along with a wonderful collection of Christmas selection boxes, in support of our local community.

The funds raised will be donated to H&K Forever Young FC Juniors (Under-16s), given in loving memory of Harvey & Kyrees, and will help support young people through the inspiring work of the Forever Young Foundation.

The Christmas selection boxes will also be gifted to local children living in Ely, helping to bring smiles, festive treats, and a little extra Christmas magic to young faces this season 🎁✨

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, supported, and helped make this possible — your generosity truly captures the spirit of Christmas. 💚🎅

This week, we were delighted to welcome residents’ families into the home for a special pre-Christmas dinner. It was a lovely opportunity for families to spend meaningful time together, share a festive meal, and enjoy the warmth and company of their loved ones as Christmas approaches.

The atmosphere was truly special, with families enjoying relaxed conversations, shared stories, and the joy of simply being together at this special time of year.

🎄✨ Big Pinecones, Big Creativity! ✨🎄

This morning our craft room was glowing — quite literally! Our residents got stuck into a wonderfully festive project, turning giant pinecones into the sweetest little Christmas trees, complete with twinkling lights and all the trimmings.

There was plenty of concentration, a few giggles when the lights tangled, and that lovely quiet buzz that only happens when everyone is happily absorbed in making something special. Each mini tree has its own charm, and seeing them lined up at the end was like discovering a tiny enchanted forest!

We love mornings like this… creativity, company, and a touch of Christmas sparkle. 🌟

🎄 Wreaths with Personality! 🎄
Christmas has officially landed at Regency House and it’s arrived in the form of ribbons, pine cones, sparkle, and a whole lot of creativity!
This week our residents rolled up their sleeves and transformed our Farmhouse Kitchen into a mini workshop, each crafting a wreath that perfectly reflects their own personality. We had classic Christmas reds, nature-inspired designs, glitter galore, and even a few creations that could give the garden centre displays a run for their money!
What made it even lovelier was the gentle chatter, the sharing of ideas, and the proud smiles as each wreath took shape. There’s something magical about watching people express themselves through something so simple yet so beautiful.
Now our corridors are filled with wreaths that are just as individual as the wonderful people who made them — and honestly, we couldn’t be more delighted. ❤️

🎄✨ A Magical Morning at the Garden Centre ✨🎄

Our residents enjoyed a truly lovely trip to the garden centre today — it’s such a magical time of year, with twinkling Christmas decorations, sparkling displays, and that wonderful festive feeling in the air.

After taking in all the beautiful sights, we finished the morning just right… with a warm drink and, of course, a slice of cake! The perfect treat on a cold, crisp winter morning. ❄️☕🍰

These simple moments together make the season even more special. ❤️
