Recently extensively refurbished, Regency House is a purpose-built care home in Ely, on the outskirts of Cardiff, with 58 single rooms and 6 shared rooms, all en-suite. We are pleased to be able to offer award-winning design initiatives in addition to our high standards of residential and nursing care. Our relationship-centred ethos, which recognises the unique needs and expectations of the individual, allows us to tailor a care package that ensures that we meet the emotional, physical and social well-being of our residents. We empower our residents to carry on living a fulfilled life and support them to continue the everyday routines and activities they are used to but thought they may have left behind.

A wonderful morning out at St Fagan's National Museum of History 🌿✨

We had a fantastic time exploring the newly opened shop 🛍️ and discovering the fascinating exhibits inside the museum 🏛️, followed by a gentle walk outdoors 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ where we were delighted to see lambs playing in the fields 🐑💚 and visit the historic old mill 🌾

Our residents were full of curiosity 🤔, asking thoughtful questions and showing great interest in the different objects and places they encountered throughout the visit 🗺️🔍 It was truly lovely to see such engagement and enthusiasm 😊👏

We finished the morning with a well-deserved cuppa ☕️🍪, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed 😋

A delightful outing filled with happiness 😄, laughter 😂, and plenty of cheerful banter 🗣️💬 We’re already looking forward to our next visit to explore even more of what St Fagan's has to offer 🌟

🌸 Weekend Mother’s Day Celebrations 🌸

To celebrate Mother’s Day 💐, our residents enjoyed a wonderful mocktail making activity 🍹. Everyone chose their own flavours, shaking and mixing drinks just like a real cocktail bar 🍸. The mocktails were decorated with fresh fruit 🍓, umbrellas ☂️, and colourful straws 🥤, adding a bright, cheerful touch.

The room was filled with laughter 😄 and smiles 😊 as residents shared happy memories of pub visits and favourite tipples 🍻. It was a lovely afternoon full of fun 🎉, conversation 💬, and creativity 🎨.

Our Mother’s Day Bar 🍾 brought even more smiles, offering chocolates 🍫, sweets 🍬, and a range of drinks including wine 🍷, champagne 🥂, beer 🍺, cider, and soft drinks 🥤. A perfect way to celebrate together ❤️.

To start the day, our female residents received a small gift 🎁—a simple but heartfelt gesture 💖 to celebrate all the wonderful women in our community 🌷.

Today we are incredibly proud to celebrate a very special milestone for one of our wonderful nurses, Moni, who has dedicated 15 years of service to Regency House. 💙

For the past fifteen years, Moni has been a valued member of our team, providing compassionate care, kindness and unwavering support to our residents and their families. Her dedication, professionalism and warm approach truly make a difference to the lives of those around her every single day.

Long service milestones like this are a testament not only to loyalty, but also to the passion and commitment that Moni brings to her role as a nurse. She is a much-loved member of our team and a wonderful example of the values we hold so highly here at Regency House.

We were deeply touched to receive this beautiful bouquet from the family of a much-loved resident who recently passed away. Their kind gesture was sent as a thank you for the care, compassion and support given during such an important and emotional time.

It is always a privilege for our team to care for residents and support their families, and gestures like this mean so much to us all.
