We want Wales to be the best country for people with a learning disability to live, learn, love and work
Learning Disability Wales is a national charity representing the learning disability sector in Wales. We want Wales to be the best country in the world for people with a learning disability to live, learn and work. We work with people with a learning disability and their families, Welsh government, local authorities, disabled people’s organisations and the voluntary sector so we can create a better Wales for all people with a learning disability. Elusen genedlaethol yw Anabledd Dysgu Cymru sydd yn cynrychioli’r sector anabledd dysgu yng Nghymru. Rydym eisiau i Gymru fod y wlad orau i bobl gydag anabledd dysgu i fyw, dysgu a gweithio ynddi. Rydyn ni’n gwneud hyn drwy weithio gyda phobl ag anabledd dysgu a’u teuluoedd, Llywodraeth Cymru, awdurdodau lleol, cyrff pobl anabl a’r sector gwirfoddol er mwyn inni allu creu Cymru well i’r holl bobl gydag anabledd dysgu.

Heddiw ydy Diwrnod Cofio’r Holocost, cyfle i fyfyrio, dysgu a chofio’r holl bobl gafodd eu herlid a’u lladd yn ystod yr Holocost, dan erledigaeth y Natsïaid, ac mewn hil-laddiadau eraill.
Roedd pobl gydag anabledd dysgu ymysg y grwpiau cyntaf o bobl i gael eu targedu yn ystod yr Holocost – yn cael eu stereleiddio a’u llofruddio dan raglen Aktion T4 y Natsïaid a laddodd tua 300,000 o bobl anabl.
Rydyn ni wedi casglu adnoddau hygyrch am yr Holocost i sicrhau bod pobl gydag anabledd dysgu yn cymryd rhan heddiw yn y cofio, yn dysgu ac yn addysgu eraill am ffeithiau hanfodol yr Holocost, yn ogystal â’i achosion a’i ganlyniadau.

Today is Holocaust Memorial Day, an opportunity to reflect, learn, and remember all who were persecuted and killed during The Holocaust, under N**i persecution, and in subsequent genocides.
People with a learning disability were among the first groups of people to be targeted during the Holocaust – sterilised and murdered under the N**i’s Aktion T4 programme that killed an estimated 300,000 disabled people.
We have gathered accessible resources about the Holocaust to ensure people with a learning disability today are involved in the remembrance, learning, and educating others about the essential facts of the Holocaust, as well as its causes and consequences.

Creating a Wales that values and includes every child, young person and adult with a learning disability
We want all people with a learning disability to live as independently as possible in a place that they choose, and to have control over their lives.
We believe that people with a learning disability can achieve this if they, their families and the people who support them have access to the best information, advice, training and support.
We play a unique role in making this happen - through our own services, working in partnership with other organisations, and influencing policy.
How we do this
Informing - our website, Llais magazine, eNewsletter, social media, Easy Read service, conferences and events will keep you up-to-date with the latest news and issues that matter.
Educating - our projects and extensive training programme can help you to learn and develop new skills.
Influencing - we advise government and statutory bodies, including local authorities, health boards, Welsh Government, UK and European government.
Listening - we use conferences, consultation events and social media to make sure we are always engaged with the issues that matter to people with a learning disability, their families and the people who support them. You can also engage with us through more informal channels - contact us, or simply speak to us at an event.
Working in partnership
