We want Wales to be the best country for people with a learning disability to live, learn, love and work
(1)
Learning Disability Wales is a national charity representing the learning disability sector in Wales. We want Wales to be the best country in the world for people with a learning disability to live, learn and work. We work with people with a learning disability and their families, Welsh government, local authorities, disabled people’s organisations and the voluntary sector so we can create a better Wales for all people with a learning disability. Elusen genedlaethol yw Anabledd Dysgu Cymru sydd yn cynrychioli’r sector anabledd dysgu yng Nghymru. Rydym eisiau i Gymru fod y wlad orau i bobl gydag anabledd dysgu i fyw, dysgu a gweithio ynddi. Rydyn ni’n gwneud hyn drwy weithio gyda phobl ag anabledd dysgu a’u teuluoedd, Llywodraeth Cymru, awdurdodau lleol, cyrff pobl anabl a’r sector gwirfoddol er mwyn inni allu creu Cymru well i’r holl bobl gydag anabledd dysgu.

'Bywydau Digidol: Dewis, llais a rheolaeth yn y byd digidol' yw thema ein Cynhadledd Flynyddol 2026!
Mae hyn yn golygu ein bod ni'n chwilio am siaradwyr ac arweinwyr gweithdai o'r gymuned anabledd dysgu i rannu straeon, heriau neu syniadau beiddgar am gynhwysiant digidol.
Dyddiad cau ar gyfer ceisiadau: Dydd Gwener 29 Mai am 4.30yp
'Digital Lives: Choice, voice and control in the digital world' is the theme of our 2026 Annual Conference!
This means we're looking for speakers and workshop leaders from the learning disability community to share stories, challenges or bold ideas about digital inclusion.
Deadline for applications: Friday 29 May at 4.30pm
Rydym yn gefnogwyr ac yn aelodau o'r Gynghrair Bywyd Da. Rydym am i bobl ag anableddau dysgu a phobl awtistig allu byw yn eu cymunedau, nid cael eu cloi i ffwrdd ymhell o'u teulu, ffrindiau a'u hardal leol. Dyna pam rydym yn falch o gefnogi maniffesto'r Gynghrair Bywyd Da a'i 3 phrif gais ar gyfer y Senedd nesaf:
Gofyn 1: Dod â phobl yn ôl i ble maen nhw’n teimlo’n ddiogel, yn teimlo croeso ac yn teimlo’n annibynnol – a’u hatal rhag cael eu hanfon i ffwrdd.
Gofyn 2: Datblygu’r seilwaith rydym ni ei angen.
Gofyn 3: Cyfuno cyllid ar gyfer adnodd pwrpasol i’w wneud.

We are supporters and members of the Good Life Alliance.
We want people with learning disabilities and autistic people to be able to live in their communities, not be locked away far from their family, friends and local area.
That's why we're proud to support the Good Life Alliance manifesto and its 3 main asks for the next Senedd:
Ask 1: Bring people back to where they feel safe, welcome and independent - and prevent them from being sent away.
Ask 2: Develop the infrastructure we need.
Ask 3: Merge funding for a dedicated resource to do it.

Mae etholiad y Senedd 2026 yn digwydd ar ddydd Iau 7 Mai 2026 ac mae eich pleidlais yn bwysig.
Yn Hawdd ei Ddeall Cymru, mae ein blog diweddaraf yn archwilio'r hyn y mae'r etholiad hwn yn ei olygu i bobl ledled Cymru, a sut y gallwn wneud pleidleisio'n fwy hygyrch a chynhwysol i bawb.
Mae'r blog yn cynnwys:
• Pam mae pleidleisio yn bwysig yn etholiad y Senedd
• Y rhwystrau mae llawer o bobl anabl yn dal i wynebu wrth bleidleisio
• Dyddiadau allweddol ar gyfer etholiad 2026
• Sut i baratoi i bleidleisio
• Ble i ddod o hyd i adnoddau pleidleisio Hawdd ei Ddeall a hygyrch
Mae pleidleisio yn hawl sylfaenol, ond mae gormod o bobl ag anabledd dysgu yn dal i wynebu rhwystrau sy'n gwneud cyfranogiad yn anoddach nag y dylai fod.
P'un a ydych chi'n pleidleisio eich hun, neu'n cefnogi rhywun arall i bleidleisio, mae'r blog hwn yn dwyn ynghyd wybodaeth ymarferol ac adnoddau hygyrch i'ch helpu i baratoi.

• Key dates for the 2026 election

Voting is a fundamental right, but too many people with a learning disability still face barriers that make participation harder than it should be.

Creating a Wales that values and includes every child, young person and adult with a learning disability
We want all people with a learning disability to live as independently as possible in a place that they choose, and to have control over their lives.
We believe that people with a learning disability can achieve this if they, their families and the people who support them have access to the best information, advice, training and support.
We play a unique role in making this happen - through our own services, working in partnership with other organisations, and influencing policy.
How we do this
Informing - our website, Llais magazine, eNewsletter, social media, Easy Read service, conferences and events will keep you up-to-date with the latest news and issues that matter.
Educating - our projects and extensive training programme can help you to learn and develop new skills.
Influencing - we advise government and statutory bodies, including local authorities, health boards, Welsh Government, UK and European government.
Listening - we use conferences, consultation events and social media to make sure we are always engaged with the issues that matter to people with a learning disability, their families and the people who support them. You can also engage with us through more informal channels - contact us, or simply speak to us at an event.
Working in partnership
We work in partnership with:
people with a learning disability
our members
Welsh Government
service providers
disabled people's organisations
advocacy groups
statutory agencies
parent and carer organisations.
We promote real inclusion, personalisation and person-centred planning, and actively support the People First slogan: 'Nothing about us without us!'
We believe in the fundamental values of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
