“I volunteer with AP Cymru because I believe in the importance of creating understanding, inclusive spaces for neurodivergent children, young people and their families. Being part of a community led by lived experience means I can offer support that is genuine, empathetic and grounded in real understanding. It’s incredibly rewarding to help families feel less alone, more confident and better supported on their journey.

Funding is vital to ensure this support can continue. AP Cymru relies heavily on grants and fundraising to deliver its services, and the demand for support continues to grow. That’s why I dedicate much of my time to fundraising, because without it, many families would miss out on the help they need. Supporting the charity in this way helps ensure we can keep making a meaningful difference to the many families we support.”

Today is World Autism Awareness Day. This year’s theme is 'every life has value'.

At AP Cymru we work with autistic children, families, schools and professionals across the length and breath of Wales. Demand for support continues to rise, with more people being referred to us for vital, direct support on a daily basis.

Awareness alone is not enough though. There is a desperate need for clear understanding and support across education and health.

Our Story

AP Cymru – The Autism Charity provides you with direct, bespoke support to autistic individuals and their families during all stages of their journey.

We provide exclusive inclusive activities for the whole family, Autism Champion Training, theraputic clinics, workshops and a Face2Face support service. Our book library is available to all of our families also!

Our Charity is based in Taffs Well (Opposite the Golden Well Chinese). Our very own Charity Shop is on the ground floor, our team are based on the first floor and our Family Room and Training Suite is on the second floor.
