Today - Mark came in straight from work - mid-30s, works in logistics, his equipment is two screens and constant stress. He apologized right away and said his head was still at the office. His shoulders were tight, his jaw clenched, that familiar “I’ll relax later” posture.
For the first part of the session his body held on. Short breaths, guarded muscles. Then, about twenty minutes in, everything softened. His breathing slowed and he let out a small laugh, saying he hadn’t realized how exhausted he actually was.
When we finished, he sat up slowly and said the problems were still there, but they didn’t feel as heavy. Nothing dramatic - just a bit more space to breathe. Those quiet shifts are the ones I notice most.
