Room available – over 55s independent living 💜

We have a room available in a friendly over‑55s residential setting at Saebren in Treherbert.
✔️ Bedsit accommodation - room, bathroom and kitchenette
✔️ Suitable for an independent older person
✔️ First‑floor accommodation (stairs only - a stairlift is available, but residents must be independent in using it)
✔️ Breakfast and lunch provided daily

Please note:
• Applicants must be 55+
• Residents must be independent with mobility
• This setting is not suitable for those needing personal or nursing care

Grease comes to Plas y Garn! 🎶

On Sunday, colleagues at Plas y Garn treated residents to a brilliant afternoon of songs from Grease the Musical – and it went down an absolute storm! 💃🕺

The event was organised by Wellbeing Coach Sue Manning, with lots of enthusiastic colleagues getting involved. A Grease‑themed playlist set the mood, and colleagues arrived in their own costumes, bringing the show to life and raising plenty of smiles.

It was a truly interactive afternoon. Two residents played the drums, several got up to dance, and most joined in with singing along to the well‑known songs. The room was full of energy, laughter and shared joy throughout.

One particularly special moment came at the end, when a resident stood up to thank everyone for such wonderful entertainment - a really heart‑warming way to finish the day. 💜

The next morning, colleagues and residents were still talking about how much they’d enjoyed it!

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make it such a memorable afternoon - this is what Hafod is all about! 💜

We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join our team!

This is a fixed term, 18-month full-time role where you’ll manage end-to-end procurement activity to help us deliver high quality, compliant and value for money outcomes. You will also lead tender exercises, develop specifications, evaluate supplier submissions, negotiate contracts and support effective contract management.

Salary: £34,000
Location: This is a hybrid working role

A very special birthday at Picton Court 🎉

There were huge celebrations recently as resident Peggy turned an incredible 105! 🥳

She enjoyed a lovely party with family, colleagues and fellow residents, joined by the Deputy Mayor of Bridgend and the Mayor of Porthcawl.

Peggy was overwhelmed by the kindness shown, receiving 105 birthday cards - one for every year, including a special card from The King and Queen and handmade cards from local school children. And of course there was a very delicious cake for all to enjoy!

It was a truly joyful and memorable celebration.

We absolutely love working with Forget‑me‑not Chorus because their sessions do so much more than bring music into the room. Easter Celebrations at Woodcroft
Last week, Woodcroft was full of Easter cheer!
We welcomed the children of our residents and staff for a fun Easter egg hunt, bringing lots of excitement and happy faces to the home. The Easter Bunny also paid us a special visit - hopping around each of our units to hand out chocolate eggs to all our residents. 🐰
It was a lovely day full of laughter, connection and community spirit.
