The British Student Doctor Journal is very excited to be working on a LGBTQ+ Special Issue, due for publication in April 2021!🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈

The BSDJ structures its issues under the headings of Editorials, Original Research, Discussion Starters, Education and Reflections, and the special supplement will follow this format, enabling authors to contribute both research and humanities work. This supplement is a unique opportunity for those interested in LGBTQ+ research, improving the cultural competence of LGBTQ+ healthcare, reflecting on a life in medicine (or the journey to medicine!), and raising awareness about health issues within the community. This includes mental health, physical illness, public health, and socio-economic aspects. The deadline for submissions is December 2020.

Our latest issue is HERE!!!!

Covid-19 has highlighted the underlying structural inequalities in our society. When we founded The British Student Doctor, we established our policy on diversity and inclusion, with equality and equity in publishing being a vital aspect of our mission.

We cannot be any clearer: Black lives matter. Black medical students matter. Black voices matter.

The June 2020 issue of The BSDJ is now live
