From a few hours a day to 24/7 personal care, our services include:
Companionship - Safety supervision, transportation & light housekeeping. Physical Assistance - Support with mobility, dressing, shopping, laundry and other daily tasks. Hygiene - Bathing, grooming and other personal care services. Well-being - Medication reminders, meal planning & preparation, social interaction and mental stimulation.

Today is Young Carers Action Day, a time to remember what a crucial role young carers play in our communities.

A young carer is anybody aged 18 and under, while young adult carers are aged up to 25.

Young carers often have to take on adult responsibilites while dealing with all the usual pressures that life throws at young people. In some cases, their caregiving duties can lead to stress, missed school, and limited social time.

At Right at Home, we believe that family carers, including young carers, need time to look after themselves, and the social care sector can be a pillar of support for those caring for loved ones.

Quality care is often found in the small moments that make life feel easier.

It might be a Carer who helps you steady yourself as you step into the garden so you can check on the roses you planted years ago.

It could be someone preparing breakfast just the way you like it because eating well helps you feel ready for the day.

It may be support with washing and dressing after a hospital stay, offered at a pace that helps you feel safe and capable again.

For some, quality care is a reassuring voice during chemotherapy side effects or help managing medication so you feel less anxious.

For families, it might be live-in care that allows their loved one to stay in their favourite armchair near the window, with someone nearby who understands their mood and knows when to offer help.
