The 7th Olympian to visit Hopwoods Pharmacy !

It was a great pleasure to meet and treat 1500m athlete Jake Heyward before he left for the 🇺🇸 for summer training and qualifying for the Commonwealth Games later this year.

The Lifetech UK mitouch and accessories are going to assist him with pain relief, muscle activation NMS and recovery.

Welcome to the 🌍 weighing in at a healthy 8lb 9oz Jake and Lucy’s new arrival 🐣🍼 born yesterday morning.

Mum and baby are doing well but have not chosen a name yet.

We can’t wait to meet him and have a cwtch ❤️.

📣📣 EXCITING NEWS: STORK INBOUND 👶📣📣

Jake our prescribing Pharmacist has had to take early paternity leave!! His wife has gone into labour this morning .

He will be away for 2 weeks .

We will have a prescribing pharmacist here on the next 2 Tuesdays for common infections. Please book via the website.

Mark will be available all other days for NHS common ailments / Pain Clinic and Brace fitting

How would you or your family and friends manage if Hopwoods were forced to close?

This article by the BBC today highlights the huge financial burden placed on Community Pharmacies in Wales these days.

We try hard to "hide" the pressure we're all under for the sake of our customers and community. If the government doesn't change something soon Community Pharmacies in the UK will continue to close but at a faster rate.

We urge you to contact your local MP and AMs and their opponents and let them know how important it is for you that Local Community Pharmacy is protected to be able to continue providing high quality NHS support.

Try and collect any 24/7 robot items as soon as you get your text. This keeps the robot from getting full and causing delays👍🏻

If we have your contact details and you normally get a SMS to say it’s ready
PLEASE DONT PHONE us. If you have a query just use the contact email button on our website. It is checked every 10 mins and this allows staff to continue working without the phone constantly ringing . 👍🏻

Allow 30 mins for any acute electronic prescriptions to arrive from your GPs👍🏻

Make sure you arrive promptly for any booked consultations 👍🏻

We are up to date with workloads currently and still have appointments for Prescribing Pharmacist / Common Ailments and Pain Clinic 👍🏻
