Over Remembrance weekend, Stacey set up a British Home Front display at her local community hub. Featuring a rationing display, the WVS (Women's Voluntary Service) items, and her husband's WW2 South Wales Borderers uniform. The display sparked conversation amongst older people who remembered the period and younger people who were genuinely fascinated by how people had to cope.
Stacey reflected on the impact of war on the families at home and connected that to her work as a Senior Practitioner for our Veterans and Families Service; helping people to be in a better place with their relationships.

Dros benwythnos Sul y Cofio, gwnaeth Stacey osod arddangosfa o’r Gwarchodlu Cartref Prydeinig yn ei hyb cymunedol lleol. Roedd yn cynnwys dognau bwyd, eitemau’r WVS (Gwasanaeth Gwirfoddol y Menywod), a gwisg Cyffinwyr De Cymru ei gŵr yn ystod yr Ail Ryfel Byd. Gwnaeth yr arddangosfa sbarduno sgyrsiau rhwng y bobl hŷn a oedd yn cofio’r cyfnod a phobl iau a oedd â diddordeb mawr mewn gwybod sut yr oedd pobl wedi gorfod ymdopi.
Myfyriodd Stacey ar effaith y rhyfel ar y teuluoedd gartref gan gysylltu hynny â’i gwaith fel Uwch Ymarferydd ar gyfer ein Gwasanaeth Cyn-filwyr a Theuluoedd, sy’n helpu pobl i fod mewn sefyllfa well o ran eu perthnasoedd.
