People don’t clench their jaw because it’s broken.
They clench because their nervous system is under load ⛈️.
When stress is high, the body looks for stability 💪.
For a lot of people, the jaw becomes that anchor.
Clenching and grinding can be your nervous system saying
“I’m trying to hold things together.”
Over time this can show up as:
●Jaw pain
●Headaches
●Ear symptoms
●Neck and shoulder tension
●Poor sleep
●Worn teeth
●Sinus congestion 🤧
And here’s the important bit. If you only treat the teeth or the jaw, you often miss the real driver.
TMJ issues are rarely just a jaw problem.
They’re a stress, posture, breathing, workload, sleep and nervous system problem.
This is why assessments matter.
And why sometimes the answer isn’t where it hurts.
If this resonates, you might be reading the right post.
Treatments are thorough, challenging, relaxing and tension releiving. People come as a last resort and wish they tried this first ☺️
