And I’m not talking about that gratitude journal style tick box way of looking at things you’re thankful for. Which, incidentally, we’ve all done.

Or are we too busy watching what other people are building? What they have? How well they seem to be doing in life?

I do it all the time. Everything I have goes invisible and all I see is what I don’t have

In reality to most people on this planet, what I have is beyond imagination.

A home

People who love me.

Work that means something.

The Fool’s Journey is a two week online breath work program run 13-26 April. Half an hour every morning at 9 am, and a three hour workshop on Sunday 19th going deep into the legend himself.

The Ten of Pentacles keeps finding me at the moment.

The legacy card. It’s easy to see it and think about the past, what has been handed down to us. What we’ve inherited, good or bad.

But I’ve been sitting with the other direction.

Every single day we are creating legacy.

Right now, in the choices we make, the things we say, the way we show up… Or don’t.

We don’t have to have it all figured out for it to count.

The tree you’re planting today, you might never sit under. But someone will.

Ever felt like you have to make yourself smaller to fit the room?

And I’m not talking about physically making yourself smaller.

Just… Quieter than you actually are.

Agreeing when you don’t.

Becoming uncomfortable so that someone else stays comfortable.

I know this feeling well. There’s a version of me that learned very young that being me was a problem. I didn’t fit the mould. I didn’t meet the expectations.

So I got good at pretending to be someone I wasn’t.

Pretending and hiding was just a survival tactic. A tactic that had a cost.

I started to lose track of where their discomfort ended and my actual self began.

Breath work doesn’t fix this overnight, but it does something important.

It gives you a moment where the only person you have to be is yourself. Without performance, without management. Just authenticity.

And that’s rarer than it sounds.

This morning I caught myself doom scrolling for nearly 1 hour. And by the end of it I felt completely disconnected from my body.

My breathing was shallow,my body was tense and my mind was full of negative self talk.

Everyone else seemed to have an answer. Everyone had a way I should be living. Even the spiritual content was trying to pull me into fear.

I remembered. Nothing out there actually knows what I need better than I do.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is pause and breathe. Not about ignoring the world or your problems, but remembering who you are and coming back to yourself.

These are the perfect opportunities to allow yourself to slow down and maybe even release some of the stress and anxiety you’ve been holding on to.

Something powerful happens when breathwork is done in a group.

Everyone arrives carrying their own story, their own tension, their own questions. But once the breathing begins, something shared starts to emerge.

The room settles. People go inwards. And the collective energy supports each person’s process.

You realise you’re not the only one feeling what you feel.

That sense of connection often allows people to go deeper than they would on their own. The breath opens something and the group holds it.

This is why I love facilitating group sessions. They create a space where real insights can happen.
