React is a leading provider of care and support for vulnerable adults across South Wales.

React is a leading specialist care provider for adults who are over the age of 18 with a mental health condition, learning disability, acquired brain injury or any other associated complex needs. The organisation was established in 2009 and has since expanded to multiple services and many success stories from Individuals seeking further independence. During this time, we have developed a unique 4 Stage Recovery Pathway which enables Individuals to move on to more independent living whilst providing consistency of care and support.

In the lead up to Easter, our amazing staff team have been busy creating lots of fun and meaningful activities with the individuals we support. From making chocolate Easter nest cakes, doing crafty activities and quizzes. It’s been lovely to see everyone getting involved.

We were also delighted to welcome two special visitors, React’s very own Easter Bunnies! They hopped around our services delivering Easter eggs to our Individuals staff team.

It’s been a busy but rewarding week!

We continued our annual tradition with a visit to St Fagans, led by our Responsible Individual, Haydn, during the beautiful spring season. It’s always a highlight, especially during the lambing season.

Alongside that, we were proud to host our Newport service’s very first RI Forum, an important step in bringing people together, sharing ideas, and building stronger connections across the community.

Grateful to be part of such meaningful work and looking forward to what’s next!

This week we’re celebrating Nutrition & Hydration Week. We know that looking after your body plays an important role in supporting mental wellbeing.

To support this, we’ve put together fruit and water boxes to share across our services. Alongside this, we have provided resources developed by one of our Deputy Managers, Viv, who has a real passion for nutrition and promoting healthy living. It’s been great to see our services getting involved, one service has been busy creating different fruit smoothies!

Today marked the final session of our Team Learning Forum series, focusing on person-centred care and alcohol and substance misuse awareness training.

A huge thank you to our Clinical Nurse Specialists Deb, Dena and Julie, along with Referrals Manager, Alex, Senior Manager, Karolina, and Registered Manager, Jenna for delivering insightful sessions.

We also want to thank all of our staff team for their engagement and active participation throughout.

Celebrating the women who lead with compassion.

This International Women’s Day, we recognise our incredible Registered Managers, whose leadership, dedication, and commitment help ensure the individuals we support receive the highest quality care every day.

Here they are celebrating React being named the Winner of the Welsh Care Employer award at this year’s Great British Care Awards, a reflection of the passion, professionalism, and teamwork across our organisation.

Today, we also want to thank all the amazing women across React who make such a difference in social care every single day.

It was St David’s Day yesterday, and our services proudly celebrated Welsh culture in many different ways!

Some got busy in the kitchen making Welsh cakes, others prepared a traditional breakfast, and one service even enjoyed a Gavin and Stacey watch party together.

However you chose to celebrate, we hope you had a lovely St David’s Day!

Today at our Supported Living service in Newport, our Clinical Nurse Specialist, Deb and Referrals Manager, Alex held a Healthy Living Workshop.

The session focused on promoting positive lifestyle choices, covering topics of healthy eating, hydration, importance of a nutritious and balanced diet, keeping active and ways in which healthy living can be affordable and accessible for everyone.

"Bertha always displays a positive attitude when on shift. Bertha is still fairly new but has shown herself to be a quick learner and completes her tasks very conscientiously."

Today we were joined by Violetta and Paul from Diverse Cymru Community Connectors at one of our Supported Living services in Cardiff. Our Individuals had the chance to hear about community connectors and the services available, and how they can be supported in making connections with local community support.

We’re really happy with the information we received today and thankful for all our answered questions.

is an annual campaign to bring people and communities together. A day used to start conversations around mental health or just to allow space for someone to talk if they wish to. The theme this year is ‘Brave the big talk’.

Here at React, we have provided some resources, mindful colouring activities, teas and biscuits to support this. Thank you to the Individuals and staff for your participation and willingness to have open conversations surrounding mental health.
