React React is a leading provider of care and support for vulnerable adults across South Wales.

React is a leading specialist care provider for adults who are over the age of 18 with a mental health condition, learning disability, acquired brain injury or any other associated complex needs. The organisation was established in 2009 and has since expanded to multiple services and many success stories from Individuals seeking further independence. During this time, we have developed a unique 4 Stage Recovery Pathway which enables Individuals to move on to more independent living whilst providing consistency of care and support.

BIG NEWS: St John’s House has done it again… ‘Excellent’ in all areas during their CIW Inspection in October 2025.

“People’s aspirations, outcomes and well-being are at the heart of this service.”

“Staff told us they feel well supported and are very happy at the service. One staff member said, “Honestly I am incredibly happy here, it’s nice to say I love my job.”…Care staff are commended for their commitment and achievements.”

“The service runs an annual event called ‘Feel Good Fiesta’ for staff and people. This event runs all week and includes workshops on yoga, physical health and skills, talks from external organisations such as Social Care Wales (SCW), Police and volunteering groups. People are fully involved; some play live music whilst others got involved in decorating the venue. Community events such as this foster social connections, enhance personal skills and hobbies, providing opportunities for learning and personal growth.”

“The Responsible Individual (RI) leads a team of professional and passionate managers who provide effective oversight and are heavily involved in the service. Quality assurance documents are effective, and person focused. Care staff receive bespoke training tailored to individuals’ needs and support. One professional described the service as “Truly remarkable.””

Well done, and congratulations to React’s St Johns House’s Team!

We have had a fantastic week getting into the Halloween spirit with a lot of creativity and teamwork!

Across our services, everyone’s been busy with all sorts of spooky activities, from cosy Halloween film nights and creative pumpkin carving, Halloween bingo and making our own DIY decorations for our annual Halloween Decoration Competition!

And of course, we couldn’t forget our wonderful Staff Team. We sent out some treats to spread a little extra seasonal cheer.

We had a productive afternoon where we chatted about women’s health and wellbeing, shared stories, and got creative with cupcake decorating, fruit kebabs, and pompom making! A big thank you to St Johns for hosting and to everyone who joined in. Thank you to our staff team across the organisation who wore pink to show their support.

We’re also proud to have our very own Menopause Champions across our services Heather, Teresa, Viv, John, and Kelly who are always here to offer information, guidance, and a safe space to talk.
