💚 "This award is for the wonderful team at the Velindre Oncology Academy, who make it all possible.”

We are proud to share that Hannah Russon, Head of Velindre Oncology Academy, received the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Excellence Award at the CNO Cymru Conference last week.

The CNO Excellence Award is given to nurses and midwives at all levels who go above and beyond their everyday roles to provide excellent care, leadership and inspiration.

🏆 Proudly presenting the 'Oncology Team of the Year' winners!

We couldn't be more proud of the South Wales Neuro-Oncology team, who won 'Oncology Team of the Year' at the Welsh Healthcare Awards 2025.

This award comes after the team's prestigious accreditation from the Tessa Jowell Centre of Excellence earlier this year - an endorsement given to centres across the UK who have met or exceeded standards across the treatment, care and research they provide to patients with a brain tumour.
