Jigsaw, Cumbria's Children's Hospice, formerly Eden House Children's Hospice, is the county's only children's hospice and offers support to children and young adults with life limiting illnesses. Our dedicated team of highly trained staff provide both medical and emotional care to the children and their families and ensure that they live their life to the full, surrounded by fun, laughter and love.

Thank you to the team at Toby Carvery Carlisle, who popped into the hospice to deliver some wonderful gifts! Throughout December, they asked their customers to support the local families receiving hospice care with a gift from their Giving Tree.🎄

We have been amazed by the generosity of the team and all those who have chosen to donate a gift this year. These thoughtful gifts have brought lots of joy and smiles to all those here at the hospice! Thank you, we are truly grateful! 🩵

The team at Denton Woodcraft have kindly upcycled some of the furniture donated to our Furniture Shop in Carlisle.

Denton Woodcraft is a day centre for adults with learning disabilities, and this isn't the first time they've supported your hospice! Check out the updated sideboards with the wonderful Denton Woodcraft team, which are to be sold in the Furniture Shop to fund compassion and care for local families. We're so grateful for their ongoing support! 💙

Jigsaw Christmas Party Magic! 🎅🧩

The children and families at Jigsaw came together to celebrate the season, and we had a wonderful day creating special memories that will last a lifetime! Jigsaw would like to thank everybody who helped to make the day a magical and memorable day for all the children, young adults and families at Jigsaw.

A special thank you to Annie Mawson's Sunbeams Music Trust - Sunbeams for allowing Jigsaw to use their amazing building which is adapted with accessible spaces and for their support on the day, Penrith Cricket Club for providing a lovely Christmas buffet, and Across The Coast Entertainment for the Disco, face painting, and party games! 🪩

Santa brought double the magic to Jigsaw this year! 🌟 Not only did Santa make a special appearance at Jigsaw's Grotto, but he also joined the fun at our Christmas party! A huge thank you to Santa for making the day so special. 🥰

Events like this bring joy for children and families, reminding families that they're never alone. Every smile, every laugh, and every memory made is thanks to the incredible generosity of the community.

Jasper had never fundraised for the hospice before he decided to take on the skydiving challenge! So far, Jasper has raised over £600, a fantastic achievement for his first-ever fundraiser.🌟

Jigsaw is the children’s hospice for Cumbria. From Workington to Appleby, Barrow-in-Furness to Carlisle, Jigsaw provides unique care and support to children and young adults with life limiting illnesses.

Our dedicated team of trained and highly skilled nurses, health care assistants and activity co-ordinators provide the individualised, complex nursing and therapeutic support each child and young adult needs - giving them the chance to have the childhood experiences we would all want for our own children.

Jigsaw’s care is offered for free and without obligation.
