Why you might feel sore after a massage!
A little tenderness after your treatment is totally normal - especially if it’s been a while since your last session. Here’s why:
1️⃣ Muscles are being worked
Massage gently stretches and stimulates muscles, breaking up tension and adhesions. This can feel like a mild workout the next day.
2️⃣ Increased circulation
Blood flow to the tissues improves, which can leave muscles more sensitive temporarily - it’s your body healing and flushing out toxins.
3️⃣ Nervous system adjustment
Your body is moving from a state of tension to relaxation. Sometimes, that transition creates temporary soreness.
4️⃣ Delayed onset muscle response
Much like after exercise, muscles may feel tender as they recover and release stored tension.

To get the most from your treatment:
• Drink plenty of water
• Stretch gently
• Keep movement light
• Use heat compression for tightness
(or ice if tender)
• Rest and sleep
Mild soreness can last 24–72 hours — this is normal and part of the healing process ✨
If anything feels unusual, always let your therapist know 💆♀️💆♂️
