🙌🏻 Let me clarify something 🙌🏻

🤩 I think my last post was maybe a little confusing?!?! 🤩

✅ What myself, Neil, Becca and Chris offer at DAHM currently is an exceptional service, and we all do our best to make sure our clients have a good understanding of their symptoms, have clear expectations and are given a sound plan going forward ✅

🧠 We have all invested heavily in our education and we share this and our experience with clients. My aim was to bring the service provided in elite/professional sports to Cumbrias community, and we all do this well! 🧠

👏🏻 I would just like to ALSO (not instead of!!) offer a more comprehensive service that not only manages injuries but also improve performances. This is an addition to what we already offer! We will continue to offer our expertise face to face as we do now and continue to so this with pride 👏🏻

💥 ONLINE REHAB - COACHING 💥

🤯 Surely you’re sick of having this ongoing, long lasting pain? 🤯

🙌🏻 Traditional physio / sports therapy of course has its place, I’m a big fan of face to face work, I’m also a big fan of manual therapy interventions! But I’m a bigger fan of having appropriate, progressive and sustained rehabilitation that takes someone from pain all the way to performance. That doesn’t have to mean being a World Champion, it can just mean completing that 5k, a half marathon PB, and importantly fixing the root cause of your issues, not just your symptoms! 🙌🏻

🤩 That’s where I come in……having spent years and years travelling the world working with World Champions, working internationally with high performers, and this level of service can be given to you!!!! But here’s the catch…..you have to show commitment!!! 🤩

🧐 I have a load of clients who go for massages every month, and personal training every week, some have their own online coach for running, gym etc….BUT I can give you all of that, a 360 degree service! Specialist led, evidence informed, progressive management of injuries and health and fitness!! 🧐

💥 Why you should consider SHOCKWAVE THERAPY here DAHM 💥

🔥 Shockwave Therapy (SWT) is a non-invasive treatment that uses high-energy acoustic pressure waves applied to the skin to stimulate healing in painful or slow-to-recover musculoskeletal tissues. It’s widely used in physiotherapy, sports medicine, and MSK clinics and is usually performed as a course of 4-6 sessions for best results 🔥

❤️‍🩹 Shockwave stimulates the body’s own repair processes:
• 🔹 Increases local blood flow
• 🔹 Stimulates collagen production
• 🔹 Promotes tissue regeneration
• 🔹 Reduces pain by desensitising nerve endings
• 🔹 Breaks down chronic scar tissue and calcification
• 🔹 Triggers a controlled inflammatory response that “restarts” healing in stubborn injuries

Shockwave is especially effective for chronic tendon and soft-tissue pain, including:

• Plantar fasciitis / heel pain
• Achilles tendinopathy
• Patellar tendinopathy
• Tennis & golfer’s elbow
• Shoulder tendinopathy / calcific tendinitis
• Gluteal tendinopathy
• Medial tibial stress syndrome (shin splints)
• Myofascial trigger points

💰 So if you want a cost effective treatment with well organised rehabilitation then this will save you your money in the long run as it is a much more capable treatment option 💰

🙌🏻 A quick insight into a sports massage session with a local talented Thai boxer 🙌🏻

- Starts as always with a subjective assessment (conversation relative to the complaint etc)
- Then an objective assessment including active range of motion and a couple of special tests (shoulder)
- Quick palpation
- Then into soft tissue massage and mid back mobilisations

😃 The athlete was pretty much asymptomatic, so we discussed her current return to training pathway as well as looked over her S&C plan to ensure all was appropriate. No exercises shown in the video! 😃

More in clinic footage coming soon 🤗

🍾 Happy New Year Everyone 🍾

😁 Well, what another crazy year 2025 was! Those who know me personally will know how busy the year was for me, they will know how I had been trying to spin plates to the best of by ability (working around the world in elite sport, managing a large case load of private clients in clinic, teaching more courses than ever with the DAHM Academy, and of course giving time to my family, seeing my 2 boys growing up so fast in front of our eyes!! 😁

🧐 We have seen thousands of clients in clinic, graduated way more therapists and personal trainers than ever, up skilled those practitioners who work in the industry and offered opportunities to those around us. This is what we do! 🧐

😍 But those who also know me, know that I am motivated by growth, both personal and professional! I work well with momentum and with pressure! So with that, as I leave my international job in the World Rally Championship, we will be seeing some exciting changes to the DA Human Mechanics Injury and Rehab Clinic, with more training space, an exciting online rehab service and group classes! We will also see more growth in the Academy, with me being in the UK full time for this year we can put our efforts into more courses! 😍

❤️ A big thank you to ashleymcanderton who manages the Academy and manages our household alongside ❤️

✅ Thank you to the clinic team and the teaching staff ✅

👏🏻 A huge thank you to everyone who has continued their journey with us, or who have just found us this year, 2026 as they say……will be a good one!! 👏🏻

Thank you all x

54 flights.
(Some of them pretty posh!)
16 countries. 4 continents.

Countless rally wins.
Podiums, champagne, late nights… and memories I’ll carry for life.

In just three years:
A third Manufacturers’ World Championship.
A second Drivers’ World Championship.

Working alongside some of motorsports great.
A two-time World Champion.
And a nine-time World Champion.
Great athletes, and most importantly some great human beings! Demanding? Yes! Impatient? Yes! Committed? Yes! But all brilliant people 👌🏻

It’s been a journey I never once took for granted.

But behind the trophies came sacrifices.
Time away from family and friends 😢
Saying “see you soon” to my kids every few weeks.
Broken sleep routines. Constant airports. Constant motion 😥

The challenge wasn’t just the work.
It was spinning many plates.
Keeping the businesses back home moving forward while I was away.
And trying not to miss the moments that matter most — watching my boys grow 👦👦

And that’s why this chapter now closes.

My time with the Toyota Gazoo Racing family has come to an end — with nothing but pride, gratitude, and respect.

Now it’s time to focus on the DAHM businesses.
Time to be home.
Time to watch my kids play football every week.
Time to be the dad they need 💪🏻

Time to support my wife — in life, in work, in everything.
Time to see friends more often.
Hack my way around a few more golf courses ⛳️

And who knows…
There may still be some motorsport in my future 👌🏻

To everyone who trusted me, supported me, and shared this incredible journey — thank you.
This wasn’t a goodbye to a dream.
It was choosing what matters most.

🏃🏻 💨 Day 12 of your DAHM running related tips and tricks!

💪🏻 todays post lets us know about the quadriceps muscles and the importance of them.

🦵 Especially if you have knee pain this and the next few posts will be you out!!

🙌🏻 The quads as a group of muscles straighten then leg, and can lift the knee up to the front. Whilst we are in contact with the floor the quads isometrically co tract to help absorb the load, prevent the knee from moving any further forward so we can move our body weight towards the toes and push off!!

🤨 Because of this load, the knee can often be a common area for pain and injury in the running community. So follow on for the next few post for a run down of knee injuries!

As always, tag those who would benefit from hearing about these, comment for some advice and share away!
