๐ง ICE BATHS ARENโT MAGIC ๐ง
โค๏ธโ๐ฉน Most people think ice baths speed up recovery โค๏ธโ๐ฉน
THEY DONโT!!!
๐ซ What they do though, is reduce soreness, which can be really useful if you need to train or complete again soon ๐ซ
๐ง BUT, itโs most likely because of the reduction in nocioceptive signals (pain receptors) rather than anything based on physiological effects like most think ๐ง
But if your goal is to:
- Build strength
- Improve performance
- long term goals
Then regular ice baths may be slowing you down, rather than helping.
