Earlier this month, our residents and staff wore their favourite Christmas jumper to raise money for the Save the Children charity. We are pleased to reveal that we raised £112 and all proceeds will go towards helping vulnerable children across the world. Well done everyone!

A few months ago, Applegarth applied through the World Book Night Scheme to receive free books.

The scheme is sponsored by the publishers who provide 5 or 6 titles for organisations such as Nursing Homes, Schools, Prisons etc to apply for the titles. The organisation only receives one title but 80 copies of that title direct from the publishers.

Applegarth has received its allocation of “Stories to Make You Smile,” ten short stories from various authors.

These books can be distributed to residents and staff.
