*****COVID-19 UPDATE*****
I am please to report we are now open again to see patients for essential services (such as broken glasses or contact lens orders) as well as emergency eye problems (painful eyes, red eyes, sudden change in vision, flashes & floaters, etc).

We are currently open on:
Mondays 9.30 - 3.30 (Dr Jones)
Tuesdays 9.30 - 12.30 (Mr Waldron)
Wednesdays 9.30 - 3.30 (Dr Jones)
Thursdays 9.30 - 12.30 (Mr Waldron)
Alt Fridays 9.30 - 3.30 (Dr Jones)
Saturdays by prior arrangement.

All visits are strictly on appointment only basis. Staff have appropriate PPE available for all patient interactions. Please do not be offended if you are asked about COVID-19 symptoms as this is part of the protocol.

For appointments please ring 01267 236545 there is an answer machine if we are unable to take your call.

In the current and rapidly evolving situation of COVID-19 which now presents an extremely serious health risk to a significant proportion of our patients. I think that the current precaution of screening people with a new cough and/or high temperature is unlikely to exclude a high proportion of asymptomatic people. As the number of infections rise it is increasingly unlikely that we will be able to avoid people with an infection. Eyecare is has been classed as high risk speciality due to the unavoidable close proximity we get to the eye and as such we maybe unwittingly passing the infection on to our patients, may of whom are elderly and with other health problems.

So it it with great regret that I have decided to close the practice at the end of the day on Wednesday 26th March.

We will ensure that those with spectacles on order will receive them as soon as possible by post.

I will still be providing emergency eyecare, if you have an acute eye problem them please ring the practice on 01267 236454 and I will arrange to see you in a timely fashion.
