Does your car desperately need a wash?

On Sunday 24th August, our firefighters at Bolton-le-Sands Fire Station are hosting a charity car wash! Join us from 10am until 2pm, and our crew will make your motor sparkle.

All funds raised will be donated to Fire Fighters Charity and Mind (both cash and contactless payments are accepted). We can’t wait to see you there :)

A schoolgirl and her teacher will take on an epic challenge to help raise money for an upgrade of their local swimming centre.

India attends one if our local schools and swims for Carnforth Community Swimming pools swim squad.

You can't tell me at the age of 9 you would of done this, you were probably still playing with your Barbies and Action Men 🤣

I've just been made aware of this amazing little girl aged just 9, and her charity swim challenge for our local pool.

India has challenged herself to swim a half marathon (13.1miles) with her swimming teacher Becky swimming a Marathon (26.2 miles) in aid to raise £5000 for the pool.

What an absolutely wonderful thing for India to be doing at such a young age.

C'mon Carnforth peeps, we've all used this pool at some point in our lives and without such inspirational little people like India it wouldn't be here today.

So it may only be a few £'s but let's put our hands in our pockets and show her the support that she deserves.

A huge WELL DONE to India for such a inspirational challenge.
