💊 Remember to order your repeat prescriptions if you are needing them before the upcoming Christmas holidays.

✔Check to make sure you have enough medication to last you over the Christmas period
✔If you don’t have enough to see you through please make sure your order within enough time for your request to be processed.
✔Please ensure you tick the boxes and only order what you need. Please do not over order.
✔Make sure your medicine box at home is stocked with the essentials.
⁉️Did you know you can order your repeat prescriptions up to 10 days in advance?
✔️Please leave at least 4 working days for your prescriptions to be processed via the NHS app and 7 working days if ordered by repeat slip.

📲The easiest way to order your medication is via the NHS app.
🚶🏼‍♂️Or bring your repeat slip into one of the surgeries and put in the box.
❌Prescription requests will not be taken over the phone unless previously agreed to do so

Whilst you are out doing your food shop over the weekend, it's a good opportunity to make sure your medicine cabinet is stocked up for over Christmas.

A properly stocked medicine cabinet can help you to treat many common illnesses and ailments over the winter period.
The Royal Pharmaceutical Society recommends you include the following in your medicine cabinet:

🤕A first-aid kit, including bandages, plasters, a thermometer, antiseptic, eyewash solution, dressings, and tweezers
💊Pain relief such as paracetamol and ibuprofen for aches, pains and high temperatures.
🥛Oral rehydration salts to replace lost minerals and fluid after a fever or vomiting and diarrhoea
🧻Anti-diarrhoea tablets to relieve symptoms of diarrhoea, although these will not help with the underlying cause
🔴Antihistamines which can help with allergies
🍗Indigestion relief remedies

✔It's important that vaccines are given on time for the best protection, but if your child has missed a vaccine, contact us to arrange an appointment.
❓Not sure? Check their Red Book or contact the practice to check your child's immunisation record.
👦🏽 Children from ages 4+ will get their Flu and routine vaccinations at school.

☑️Start the contraceptive pill for the first time
☑️Take the contraceptive pill again after a break from using it
☑️Get your regular prescription for the pill from the Pharmacy
☑️ You’ll speak with a pharmacist in private. They’ll ask about your health and may check your height, weight and blood pressure.

📱If you need to speak to us about results or anything routine please call after 2pm or later in the week.

🏥 Minor injury clinics at the Queen Victoria hospital Morecambe, Westmorland General hospital Kendal and RLI Lancaster. The service offers assessment & treatment for a wide range of non-life threatening conditions from strains & sprains to broken bones & minor illnesses, including X-rays.
Please note that the x-ray machine at Queen Victoria Hospital is out of action today.
