On Wednesday 25th March, we were delighted to host a Falls Prevention Workshop at Signature at Caversham, led by Raj and Hannah from Therapies on Thames- Rehabilitation matters for elderly.

It was a fantastic session, with a great turnout and plenty of engagement. Guests left feeling inspired and empowered with practical knowledge to help reduce the risk of falls and maintain independence.

At Signature at Caversham, every resident benefits from a complimentary professional assessment by TOT upon admission, ensuring expert-led, personalised support from day one.

We also offer a dedicated weekly Falls Prevention Clinic, which has achieved outstanding results — including an approximate 56% reduction in falls. A testament to the impact of proactive, specialist care.

Such a lovely, creative afternoon with Ana Biai 🎨✨

Residents spent time together decorating and crafting, each adding their own unique touch to their creations. From painting and ribbon work to some very focused egg decorating, it was wonderful to see so much concentration, creativity, and so many smiles around the table.

Moments like these are what it’s all about—bringing people together, sharing laughter, and enjoying the simple joy of making something by hand. 💛

We had a fantastic visit from Zoolab on Saturday! 🐾🦎

Our residents had the chance to get up close with some amazing creatures and learn all about them. We had lots of very brave and curious residents while handling a snake, a tortoise, a lizard, and even some fascinating stick insects! 🐍🐢

It was a wonderful interactive experience that sparked lots of smiles, conversations, and memories. Thank you to Zoolab for such an engaging and educational visit – we loved every minute!

Meet Zoe, one of our wonderful team members! 🐎🧧

This week Zoe has been spreading a little extra joy around the home while celebrating Chinese New Year – the Year of the Horse.

She lovingly made little homemade horses and delivered them to her fellow teammates, surprising them with a thoughtful gift and a smile. Such a kind gesture that brightened everyone’s day and brought lots of smiles to the team.

A wonderful day of indoor and outdoor fun☀️🌿

This morning, residents enjoyed a visit to Norden Farm to watch the Band of the Scots Guards and The Band of the Household Cavalry. It was such a fantastic experience that capturing photos wasn’t the top priority — everyone was too busy enjoying the music and the moment! 🎶 We’re pleased however to have captured a few for memories.

Making the most of the afternoon sunshine, residents and team members popped down to our vegetable garden to begin planting our very own kitchen produce. There were plenty of smiles, a little hard work, and of course a relaxing pause for tea while enjoying the fresh air together.

With brushes in hand 🖌️ and creativity flowing 🎨, everyone created their own interpretation while enjoying a relaxed, studio-style atmosphere. Moments like these are part of the vibrant lifestyle we’re proud to offer — where art, culture, friendship and personal passions continue to flourish every day. ✨
