Our comprehensive 7-day course (delivered over two weeks) provides the core knowledge and practical skills required to work as a professional Door Supervisor.
You’ll cover the following modules:
1. Working in the Private Security Industry
• Understanding the role and responsibilities of security personnel
• Health and safety awareness
• Effective communication and customer care
• Licensing laws and procedures
2. Working as a Door Supervisor
• Key duties and responsibilities on licensed premises
• Searching procedures
• Incident reporting and record keeping
• Managing entry, dealing with refusals, and maintaining order
3. Conflict Management
• Identifying potential conflict situations
• Effective communication and de-escalation techniques
• Managing aggression and difficult behaviour safely
4. Physical Intervention Skills
• Legal and professional use of force
• Non-aggressive protective techniques
• Safe escorting and exit procedures
• Reducing risk to yourself and others
🎓 Certification & Progression
Upon successful completion of the course and assessments, learners will receive a Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry, meeting the qualification requirements for an SIA Licence.
🔸 Entry Requirements
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must hold a valid Emergency First Aid at Work certificate before starting the course (not included in this programme)
• Must have a good understanding of English (spoken and written)
