We are still in the heart of the darker season in the northern hemisphere. A time of the void, where the creative forces are swirling without form.

What’s turning or rising within you?

Perhaps it doesn’t have a name yet, but there’s an imagination 🌱 of something beginning to take shape.

Make space to practice raising your frequency - living from that connected place to gently support the form beginning to imprint.

Why not give yourself the gift of a meaningful pause—time to reset, reconnect with nature, and step forward when spring comes with balance and clarity?

If connection, yoga, Kirtan, or time in nature sustains you, make space in your calendar—so the year ahead feels intentional and nourishing.

Why not gift yourself a meaningful pause?

A moment to reset, reconnect with nature, and step forward with balance and clarity.

✨ Join Ritual & Resonance on 18 April to honour what is unfolding.

The winter solstice invites us to pause…We’re invited to listen inward. What does your body need more of right now?

Movement, rest, cuddles, stillness, warmth, expression or something else?

What feels nourishing and sustaining to your spirit?

What are you tending to in yourself this winter?

As the season turns to winter’s stillness, the seeds we plant now in the dark are the ones that bloom in spring 🌑✨

This new moon & winter solstice—the longest, darkest night—marks a threshold. For three days, the sun appears to pause on the horizon, inviting us into a liminal, shadowy portal of reflection and listening.

This is a time to slow down.To be present with those around us.To notice dreams, symbols, and subtle signs that may guide the year ahead.

This is what it means to partner with the unseen.

After the 3rd night, the light begins its gentle return. Day by day, it grows—marking a time of imprinting.

What wants to come through?
We plant seeds in the fertile soil of darkness: intentions, practices, and qualities we wish to embody in the coming cycle.

Though these seeds may lie dormant through winter, they are being nourished. We can tend them now with care and intention.

Plan the planting & prep the metaphorical seedbeds.

If connection, yoga, Kirtan, or time in nature sustains you, perhaps it’s time to make space in your calendar—so the year ahead feels intentional and nourishing.

Why not gift yourself a meaningful pause?

Hi everyone, this is a talk from a friend of a friend of mine (quite graphic) who has become an advocate for trauma awareness within health professions.

She’d like to spread the word so if you can spare the time to watch, like, comment, share - it would be good to raise awareness of this within the medical profession. Thanks 💜

NB- The talk does mention sexual violence.

In this deeply personal and eye-opening TEDx talk, Dr. Susanna Petche reveals how hidden, dismissed trauma shapes our bodies, behaviours and lives and shares...

If your life were a river, how is it flowing today? 🌊

Gently moving?
Rushing with energy?
Still and deep beneath the surface?

Take 30 seconds to pause and notice.

I first came across this practice when it was shared by Radiant Somatics

Try it for yourself or use the video to guide you.

What’s the speed and rhythm of your inner flow right now?

No need to fix or analyse — just witness.

What happens when you separate sensation from story?

What happens when you let your body speak before your mind translates?

And, how do you know?

💭 I’d love to hear — what’s your river like today?

Share a word, an image, or an emoji in the comments.

Your awareness is where aliveness begins 🌿

I often hear the words “what is somatic coaching?” I can explain, but the whole point is that it is experiential.

Your experience of YOURSELF in the moment.

Not my interpretation of it.

And to some extent, not your interpretation either. But instead, you feeling yourself in the moment.

No technical explanation of the meaning of the word ‘somatic’ is going to give you that.

But so you know: Somatic is from the Ancient Greek word ‘Soma’, meaning “body”.

The approach I use is a body-oriented, ‘bottom-up’ psychotherapy and trauma-informed approach.

Combining psychodynamic and body-based coaching, shadow work and ancient yogic and nervous system care practices, backed by neuroscience, I support you to deepen your relationship with yourself.

If you want to try it for free, DM me TASTER. Offer ends soon.

Of all the ideals by which you might orient your life, wholeness has a unique trait: it spares you from division. First, it’s meaningless to decide to make yourself whole—you already are whole, inescapably. You can’t achieve wholeness, nor do you know what it looks like or where it might take you. Wholeness isn’t a destination or a goal—it is a beginning that can only be initiated with a surrender to the Present and a sensitivity to what it is asking of you right now.
And that highlights another trait that distinguishes the ideal of wholeness: you will never arrive at it, just as no sailor has ever arrived at the polestar. You will never wake up one morning and say, “Finally, I’m whole. What’s next?” In that regard, wholeness is like healing—and the two words, fittingly, share the same root. You can never say with finality, “I’m healed.” With every breath, millions of cells die off and millions divide to replenish them. Wholeness and healing, like unending dances, are processes that rest in the Present without ever stopping. They are processes that continuously let go of ‘what was’ in order to welcome What Is.

~ Philip Shepherd, from the book Radical Wholeness

✨ Did you ever hear the phrase “water off a duck’s back” as a kid?

It means you are not affected by negative comments or actions. They literally roll off you like water off a duck’s oily feathers.
But as a child, I thought it meant ‘pretend you’re not upset’.

And I didn’t have the tools to help me set boundaries, to make the leap from “but, I am upset!” to “I’m genuinely not bothered.”

💭 What phrase did you hear when you were upset as a child?

Ignoring my feelings didn’t make them go away. It just made them louder and leak out sideways.

Through body-based emotional re-sensitisation tools and nervous system support practices, I learned how to feel, process and integrate my emotions and set boundaries.

And crucially, I was able find safety in myself and in my body.

This is the work I now share with others through somatic nervous system coaching. And I’d love to offer a taste of it:

💻 I’m offering free online taster sessions for a limited time only.

Ever notice this? Men often say they know—even when they don’t.

Women? We often say we don’t know—even when we do.

But what if you could play with both—certainty and uncertainty—and discover a third thing - a whole new space of creativity and flow?

I’m offering FREE ONLINE taster sessions this Sept & Oct—comment TASTER if you’re ready to explore!

Everywhere we look we can find polarity. The headlines are especially loud with black and white thinking. The tensions of opposites.

As without, so within.

It’s an opportunity to look at where we find ourselves in internal conflict or opposition.

And the most interesting aspect for me is the nuance. Is a merging of the two into a 3rd thing possible?

For me, today it’s about the opposites of ‘Doing’ and the ‘Resting back’.

Staying present with myself, taking steady action and putting the building blocks in place, but not pushing, or chasing. Letting them unfold and fall where they will - to find a balance of body, mind, emotion and soul.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed by the chaos of your outer or inner world, or if this post sparks something in you, then I’d love to offer you a taste of the somatic nervous system coaching I offer:

💻 I’m offering free online taster sessions in September & October. Limited spots available.

Comment TASTER if you’d like to experience tools that actually work to support the emergence of that 3rd thing.
