📣 Important Update: CITB Employer Network Funding Changes (From January 2026)
CITB is making changes to how training funding works from 8 January 2026, and we want to make sure all our customers understand what this means if you use Employer Network Funding.
Here’s a quick breakdown 👇
🔵 Short Course Funding
Short courses will only be funded through Employer Networks from January 2026.
Most short courses will no longer be funded through the Grants Scheme.
Some specialist areas (like Plant Operations and Scaffolding) will still be supported.
If you booked a short course before 8 December 2025, CITB will still honour the funding (with proof of booking).
Bookings made before 8 December and completed between 8 Jan – 31 Mar 2026 will also be funded.
🔵 How to Access Funding Going Forward
To receive Employer Network funding, you will need to:
✔️ Contact your local CITB Adviser to discuss training needs
✔️ Book training through the Employer Network
Funding available:
50% match funding for eligible courses
30% support for construction Health & Safety training
❌ First Aid training will no longer be funded
Funding is based on a fixed annual budget, so early booking is advised.
🔵 Large Employers
From 31 March 2026, large employers will no longer be funded through the Employer Network.
A new CITB funding offer for large employers will start 1 April 2026.
