⚠️ Safety Tip: Always Stay Within Your Restraint Line on Roof Edges!

When working at height near a roof edge, a few extra steps in the wrong direction can be life-threatening.

To stay safe:
🔹 Always use a harness restraint system – never rely on a fall-arrest setup for restraint work.
🔹 Anchor your line to a secure point, positioned to prevent access to the edge.
🔹 Keep your lanyard adjusted so you can reach your work area safely – but not the drop.
🔹 Inspect all harnesses, lanyards, and anchor points before every use.
🔹 If in doubt — stop and get guidance.

When guiding a reversing vehicle, the banksman’s visibility is the driver’s visibility 👀

Before giving signals, always make sure:
🔹 You’re standing in a safe, visible position
🔹 You maintain eye contact with the driver at all times
🔹 Your signals are clear, consistent, and agreed beforehand
🔹 You never walk behind a moving vehicle
🔹 If you lose sight of the driver — STOP the vehicle immediately

A few seconds of clear communication can prevent a lifetime of consequences.
