Brendoncare Knightwood has been specifically designed to enable people in later life to live independent, happy and fulfilling lives. Brendoncare Knightwood is a CQC 'Good' rated home with a carehome.co.uk rating of 9.6/10. With multiple communal areas, Brendoncare Knightwood is a happy and comfortable home with kind and compassionate staff dedicated improving the lives and well-being of people in later life.

A royal afternoon well spent 👑🎂

Our residents enjoyed tea, cake, and fresh scones as we celebrated the King’s Birthday together. We reminisced as we talked about memories of the royal family 🧁☕️.

Today we enjoyed a Bonfire Night quiz, followed by some themed cakes 🧨 Well done to our worthy winner, Pete, with an impressive 13 out of 18 correct answers 👏

This afternoon, our residents enjoyed a relaxing craft session creating poppy wreaths ahead of Remembrance Day. It was a lovely way to spend time together on a dark Sunday afternoon, while reflecting on the importance of the occasion 🥀🕊️.

Party party here at Knightwood this afternoon, spooky snacks and drinks in full swing whilst guessing the weight of the pumpkin 🎃 🎃.

Then we played Halloween bingo and gave awards for the best dressed (there were some scary contenders).

A huge thank you to our amazing chef Jordan for the most incredible selection of Halloween snacks - a great time was had by all 👻💀🎃

Follow Sammy on his journey to deliver pumpkins to Brendoncare, so that our residents could carve and paint them ready for our Halloween party tomorrow 🎃🐶🐾

We were piping pumpkins this afternoon at Knightwood 🎃🎃. With the help of some chocolate buttons and Malteasers, we turned them into happy pumpkins, (well most of them).

Our other residents will be enjoying them for afternoon tea ☕️🧁.

We were delighted to welcome Liz Jarvis MP, MP for Eastleigh, to Brendoncare Knightwood on Friday. Ms Jarvis visited as she is very keen to learn more about the issues currently facing health and social care.

Danielle and Donna, together with Martine, Brendoncare's Head of Membership, took Ms Jarvis on a tour of Knightwood, showing her the work currently being carried out to improve the shop.

They also viewed the progress being made on the new Knightwood community hub, opening at the end of November.

Ms Jarvis also had a chance to meet Mews residents, then discussed with Danielle, Donna and Martine some of the issues they wanted to raise on her visit.

We were thrilled that Ms Jarvis said she thought Knightwood was a lovely home, adding she could tell the residents are happy here.

We are very grateful she took some time out to come and pay us a visit, and we hope to welcome her back when the new hub is open.
