Another case of severe trauma from walking boots, accompanied by a couple of calluses. The patient was very fortunate—no infection was present. Both toenails were completely lifted from the nail bed, with dry hematomas, and inflammation around the cuticle and nail folds. A new toenail has already started to grow.

A huge well done to my patient for carefully cleaning and caring for her toenails, which helped prevent infection. The patient ultimately opted for clipping the old nails, as they were causing pain by digging into the cuticle area. 👣

Almost a year since we started treating these onychomycosis-affected toenails, and the improvement has been remarkable!

Diabetic foot care : toenail cut and file, treatment of a superficial fungal infection, and a readjustment of the NiTi brace. The brace’s strong pulling action had created a slight curve and lifted from the toenail, patient was feeling some discomfort, so we realigned it to ensure proper tension and comfort. 👣✨
