High and chronic low levels of stress have such a detrimental effect on the balance of our gut microbes. Your mind and gut are connected so closely. Stress can slow down your digestion leaving you with painful bloating and digestion or the opposite, forcing you to make mad dashes to the loo! Stress can worsen pre-existing digestive system problems or force you to lose your appetite. Try to take at least a little time just for you every day. A bubble bath, a warm drink on your own or a mindful walk in the fresh air will do. It doesn't have to be a long time, but quality time with yourself. Take time for you. It's so important. Your Gut microbes will thank you for it 🙏
