With the grounding energy of deep winter, you are invited to unwind and rest. Restorative yoga is a deeply restful, nurturing practice designed to help the body and mind slow down and recover.
In restorative yoga, poses are fully supported with props such as bolsters, blankets, blocks, allowing the body to relax without effort. Postures are usually held for several minutes, giving the nervous system time to shift out of stress mode and into deep relaxation.
Rather than stretching or strengthening, the focus is on:
• Rest and release
• Gentle opening without strain
• Calming the nervous system
• Mindful breathing and stillness
