We have been really enjoying our work in supporting the Westover Beacon practitioners in Thanet to become a psychologically informed environment! Delighted to hear that we have now been awarded Lottery Funding to continue this essential work with them throughout the coming year!

Myself and Tracy have thoroughly enjoyed delivering our 8-week intense 'Embedding Trauma Informed Care and Practice' training to frontline practitioners in Medway! Really positive feedback received from delegates:

• “Wonderful trainers – very approachable. Would love more training for myself and other staff members”.
• “Really great course! Thought-provoking and enabled me to look on how we can develop our current work”.
• “Both trainers obviously knew their stuff and made it enjoyable and thought-provoking!”
• “Learning about the underlying science of trauma has strengthened our knowledge of trauma informed care”.
• “Really interesting to find out more about the science behind trauma. Lots of really varied information. Both Brian and Tracy come across as knowledgeable and approachable which made the training really accessible”.
• “The course has shown me the importance of building a full picture of underlying causes”
• “The training has helped me understanding the complexities of brain development and the impact this has on a person”.
• “The course has taught me how trauma affects staff and how that is then transferred through service delivery”.

This further reinforces our conviction of the need for this level of understanding at the 'frontline' of work with early life trauma, and also substance dependency!

If we only address the 'effect' we continually fail to address the 'cause'.....

We will soon be starting an 8-week FREE training programme focussing on HEALING TRAUMA for all peer-support workers; lived experience workers; practitioners and other ‘frontline’ workers involved in the field of early life trauma; homelessness and substance dependencies.
The course will be delivered in Chatham Town Centre every Thursday afternoon, and each session will last 140 minutes. Each week’s knowledge adds up to a thorough understanding of principles, skills and knowledge to guide you in this critical work, and course materials will be made available to all attendees.
This will be an ongoing ‘rolling program’ intervention!
Please do SHARE this message with message with any individuals or Agencies that you think may benefit from this program, or message me if interested in attending as this is a unique opportunity and places are limited!
