🌟 Meet Frances! 🌟
Frances joined Bump Club during both of her pregnancies — and here’s what she had to say:

“Bump Club was amazing and honestly got better every single session!
I developed Gestational Diabetes during my second pregnancy, which was totally new and quite overwhelming. The session with Joanna really helped clear up my worries — especially around my baby’s care and sugar levels after birth.
The support from the Bump Club team was second to none, and I’ve made real friends who I still speak to every day.
It’s helped me build a healthier physical and mental lifestyle for myself and my children.”

💛 Thank you, Frances, for sharing your journey! 💛

🤰✨ Are you pregnant and looking for FREE antenatal support, fun activities, and a chance to meet new friends?

Our next BumpClub online programme starts Monday 23 Feb, 7:15 to 8:15pm — why not join us?

It’s Cervical Cancer Prevention Week

Did you know?

Over 99% of cervical cancers are caused by a virus called HPV
HPV is a very common virus that most people don’t even realise they have.

But HPV doesn’t just affect the cervix, it can also affect the mouth and throat, and is linked to some head and neck cancers.

❓How can you reduce your risk?
The HPV vaccine can reduce cervical cancer risk by around 80% and also helps protect against some cancers of the mouth and throat.

🦷 Why this matters for oral health
HPV can infect the mouth and throat. Long‑term infection with high‑risk HPV can lead to:
• Oral cancer
• Oropharyngeal cancer (back of the throat, base of the tongue, tonsils)

🔍 Know the sign and get checked if you notice:
• Mouth ulcers that don’t heal after 3 weeks
• Unexplained lumps in the neck
• Persistent sore throat
• Voice changes
• Difficulty swallowing

✔️ And remember, regular dental check‑ups are important, dentists are trained to spot early signs of oral cancer.
