When stress lingers, your nervous system stays on high alert, and your emotional frequency drops into survival mode.

Restoring balance doesn’t require big life changes, it starts with simple, embodied practices that signal safety to your system.

These techniques work because they meet you from the inside out:
🌬 slow, deep breathing to calm the nervous system
🧘‍♀️ mindfulness, meditation, and visualisation to gently reset your energy
🤍 movement like yoga or walking to release stored tension
💪 progressive muscle relaxation to let the body finally soften

Think of these as energetic hygiene… small daily practices that clear emotional residue and bring you back into alignment.

You don’t need to do all of them. Just one practiced regularly can begin to lift your emotional frequency and restore your sense of inner steadiness.

Which of these feels most accessible for you today?

Emotional strength isn’t about coping with everything at once. It’s about reducing the constant pressure your nervous system is under.

Sometimes healing looks very simple:
⭐️ Drinking tea slowly.
⭐️ Wearing soft clothes.
⭐️ Watching a candle flicker.
⭐️ Muting the group chat.
⭐️ Turning off notifications or read receipts.
⭐️ Standing barefoot on the ground.
⭐️ Resting without guilt.
⭐️ Journaling without analysing or fixing.

These small boundaries and pauses create emotional safety.

A regulated nervous system doesn’t mean life is perfect. It means your body knows it doesn’t have to stay on high alert.

Softness is not weakness.

Softness is resilience in its most sustainable form.

Which one could you give yourself today? 💗

How do we live with intention?

Instead of starting your day by asking “What do I need to do?”
Try asking: “Who do I want to be today?”

Every small choice you make is a reflection of that identity - how you speak to yourself, how you protect your time, how you show up even when it’s uncomfortable.

You don’t need to change everything.
Just make one intentional choice today that aligns with the person you’re becoming.

Consistency starts with identity.

What's one intentional choice you will make today/tomorrow/this week?

Sometimes motivation doesn’t come from a guru…
Sometimes it comes from a tiny crocheted poo reminding you to believe in yourself 💩😁

Whatever today looks like, training, nutrition, mindset, or just getting through the day, you can do it.

Small steps still count.
Progress doesn’t have to be perfect.
Go do your thing 💪

Living with intention doesn’t mean having it all figured out.

It means checking in with yourself before the day runs you.

Instead of asking:
“What do I need to get done today?”

Try asking:
✨ How do I want to feel today?

Calm? Grounded? Supported?

Let that feeling guide your decisions, your pace, your boundaries.

Your intuition speaks through feeling and the more you listen, the clearer it becomes.

How do you want to feel today?

A small observation this time of year…

Notice how often the reasons change, but the pattern stays the same.

• “It’s too cold to train.”
• “I’m too hungry to eat well.”
• “I’ll start again in the new year, or a typical one, on a Monday.”

Most of the time, it’s not the cold.
It’s not the hunger.
And it’s rarely about time.

It’s about discomfort.
Training asks us to do something hard when it would be easier to stay still.

Nutrition asks us to pause, think, and choose, not react.
And behaviour asks us to sit with how we actually feel, instead of numbing it or avoiding it.

This time of year magnifies that.
Shorter days, less structure, more social pressure, so the brain looks for reasons to say no.

But here’s the thing: Discomfort isn’t a warning sign.
It’s often the entry point.
You don’t need perfect motivation.
You don’t need summer weather.
You don’t need to overhaul everything.

Sometimes the win is:
• Doing the workout anyway
• Choosing the next best meal
• Showing up imperfectly

That’s not discipline for the sake of it, that’s self respect in action.
And it’s often the small, quiet choices that carry us through the hardest seasons.

Hi lovely people.

I wanted to share something personal with you. This is a different kind of post than you are used to from me.

Over the last 6 months I’ve quietly been writing a book and it’s now available for Kindle pre-order.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0GF2H8466?ref=sp_email&language=en_US¤cy=GBP

Life After Divorce is a real-life guide to rebuilding after separation and divorce, moving from survival into intentionally designing a life you love. It blends my lived experience with the coaching tools that genuinely helped me rebuild.

Alongside this, I’ve launched my personal coaching website: ClaireAdamou.com - a space for individual support, growth, and life redesign.

The Kindle pre-order is live now (with paperback coming soon).
Thank you for always being such a supportive space - it truly means the world 🤍

is for the woman who knows her life has changed forever, but doesn’t yet know what comes next. After navigating the emotional, legal, and personal aftermath of divorce, Claire Adamou rebuilt her life from the ground up - not by chasing perfection, but by learning how to trust herself again,...

Self-trust is built through small, brave choices, not perfection.

Healing self-doubt doesn’t mean never feeling unsure again.

It means learning how to move with the doubt instead of letting it stop you.

That might look like:
* Taking the step anyway, even when your inner voice says “what if you fail?”
* Focusing on progress instead of picking apart every mistake
* Setting realistic goals that fit your current season, not someone else’s
* Challenging the inner critic with: “Is this true… or is this old fear talking?”

Confidence grows when you prove to yourself, gently and repeatedly, that you can trust your own decisions.

Each time you listen to yourself, honour your needs, and take aligned action, self-trust deepens.

You’re not broken. You’re learning. And that’s powerful. ✨

As we step into a new year, can we gently rewrite what “resolutions” mean?

Not more pressure.
Not fixing ourselves.
Not becoming someone else.

Instead, choose to care for your mental and emotional wellbeing in small, compassionate ways.

Listening to what your body needs.

Being kinder to yourself on the hard days.

Setting boundaries without guilt.

Letting go of coping habits that no longer serve us.

Allowing rest without having to earn it.

These are the kinds of resolutions that don’t demand perfection, just presence.

As we move forward together in this group, may this be a space where you feel supported, understood and reminded that you’re already doing enough.

You’re not behind. You’re becoming. 💗

Christmas can be a tender time 🎄

While so much of the world feels loud, bright and full, many people are quietly carrying heavy things.

So today, we’re sending love to…
✨ those navigating mental health challenges
✨ those feeling lonely
✨ caregivers holding space for others
✨ those grieving
✨ those under financial pressure
✨ those spending time with people who don’t feel safe or supportive

If any of this resonates with you, please know this…

You are not weak. You are not failing. You are human.

You don’t have to explain yourself here.
You don’t have to be “festive”.
You don’t have to pretend you’re okay.

This space exists to remind you that you matter, exactly as you are, exactly where you are 💗

May you allow yourself the space to receive exactly what you need during this season.

Self-Respect Through Routine

Your daily routine is often a reflection of how you value yourself.

Self-respect isn’t about doing more — it’s about making small, intentional choices that say “I matter too.”

A morning check-in, one clear intention for the day, or a mindful pause before reacting can all be powerful acts of self-care.

These simple behaviours build trust with yourself over time and create a sense of calm, clarity, and confidence.

This week, ask yourself:
✨ What small routine could help me honour my time and energy a little more?

You don’t need perfection - just intention.

We often think we need more time to feel better… but what we usually need is one small moment of presence.

The grounding techniques in this image are perfect for when you’re juggling responsibilities, emotions, and a full schedule.

🌿 Holding a grounding object
🌿 Naming colours around you
🌿 Giving yourself a hug and reminding yourself “I am safe”
🌿 Using temperature, taste, or playfulness to interrupt stress

These aren’t indulgences.

They’re regulation tools… ways of telling your nervous system that you’re supported, even in the middle of a busy day.

Self-respect through routine looks like:
Not pushing through overwhelm.
Not ignoring your body’s signals.
Choosing small rituals that bring you back into balance.

Which of these could you realistically weave into your day this week?

Something quick, kind, and doable… not another thing to “get right”.

Feel free to share below, or simply take this as a reminder:

You don’t have to wait for calm, you can create it, one moment at a time 💗
