We took some our residents on an evening walk to visit Light Up The Town at Chatteris Parish Church. A visual journey into the hidden world of water and a lantern display of wildlife figures crafted by local residents.

Our residents were fascinated watching the images moving on the walls of the Church and loved seeing the animal lanterns.

Wonderful afternoon in the company of the lovely Amanda The Singing Gardener. Lots of fabulous songs to sing and sway along. Beautiful singing everyone!

This afternoon - in preparation for our Flipping Pancakes session we made our own chef hats!

Lunch today was in celebration of the Chinese New Year - Teriyaki Salmon or Sweet and Sour Chicken followed by Chinese Egg Custard tart. Well done Chef Heath - everyone really enjoyed it and there were lots of empty plates!

Next we had a visit from Peter, a lovely gentleman who recently celebrated his 70th Birthday. His family had an absolutely amazing cake made for him and he very generously donated it to The Gables for our residents. It seems such a shame to cut it though!

We've had a wonderfully busy day today at The Gables! We started the day with music and movement at our Dancercise session.

Tomorrow (17 Feb) sees the start of the Chinese New Year. It will be the year of the Horse which is associated with success and good fortune!

Our Gables family worked on our latest Creative Mojo project - a beautiful horse collage for the dining room. Absolutely amazing - well done everyone!
