Help keep our home clean, comfortable and safe for our residents.

🎨 Activities Coordinator
• 20 hours per week
Support and organise meaningful, fun activities that bring joy and engagement to our residents’ daily lives.

Our creative side has been shining at Swan House 🎨✨

Residents have been busy with canvas painting, exploring colours, trying new techniques, and most importantly, expressing themselves in their own unique ways. There’s something so special about seeing a blank canvas turn into a beautiful piece of art.

Being creative is not only great fun, it’s also a wonderful way to relax, spark conversation, and build confidence. The concentration, laughter, and pride in everyone’s faces say it all.

We’re now using our artwork to create lovely displays around the home, brightening up our spaces and showcasing the incredible talent we have here at Swan House.

There’s nothing quite like a breath of fresh air to lift the spirits! 🌿

This week at Swan House, we’ve been making the most of getting out into the community — enjoying gentle walks, stretching our legs, and taking in some different sights along the way. From friendly faces to familiar places, every outing brings lovely conversations and special little moments.

Spending time outdoors isn’t just great for our physical health, it does wonders for wellbeing too. A change of scenery, some light exercise, and plenty of fresh air always leave us feeling refreshed and smiling.

Bringing generations together today at Swan House, our residents and youngsters enjoyed a fantastic Creative Mojo session with the theme all about Chinese New Year 🧧🐉
It was so special to see everyone getting involved, creating together and making memories ❤️

🇮🇹 Italian Days at Swan House 🇮🇹

What fun we had during our Italian Days! We enjoyed Italian word searches, crosswords, facts and quizzes, made our own pizzas, and even went on a virtual tour of Italy! 🌍🍕

A huge shout out to our amazing kitchen team for putting together such a delicious menu — it really helped make the days extra special. 👏❤️

Olympic-themed games have been happening all over Swan House in the last few days, and it’s been great fun! 🏅🎯

There’s been lots of friendly competition and brilliant team spirit from both residents and staff.

And as if that wasn’t enough… we’ve also started getting creative with our Valentine’s Day decorations 💕✨

A last-minute trip out the other day turned into such a lovely morning!

A huge thank you to The George Hotel who kindly stepped in and accommodated everyone at short notice — we really appreciate it.

We enjoyed a wonderful time chatting, sharing laughs, singing along to some favourite jukebox songs, and of course drinking plenty of tea and enjoying a few biscuits too! ☕🎶🍪

Lovely moments, great company, and special memories made — just another reason we love being part of the Swan House family. 💛

Swan House Care Home is currently looking for caring, reliable, and hardworking individuals to join our team.

Current Vacancies

🧑‍⚕️ Care Assistant – Days

• 33 hours per week
• Day shifts
• Supporting residents with personal care, dignity, and daily wellbeing

🌙 Care Assistant – Nights

• 33 hours per week
• Night shifts
• Ensuring residents are safe, comfortable, and well cared for overnight

🧹 Domestic & Kitchen Assistant

• 30 hours per week with alternate weekends
• Supporting domestic and kitchen teams during staff holidays
• Cleaning, laundry, and assisting with kitchen duties

💙 What We’re Looking For

• A kind, compassionate, and dependable approach
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Experience in a care environment is beneficial but not essential
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and cleanliness

Our puzzles and pamper sessions have been a real hit recently here at Swan House!

We’ve had some lovely afternoons spent working together on puzzles, enjoying a good chat, and keeping minds active in a relaxed and friendly setting. 🧩

Our pamper sessions have also been hugely popular, giving residents the chance to unwind, feel refreshed, and enjoy some well-deserved self-care. 💆‍♀️💛

It’s been wonderful to see so many smiles and feel-good moments shared by everyone.
