🎄 What a truly lovely Christmas Day at Court House! 🎄

We had a wonderful time celebrating with plenty of smiles, and lots of festive cheer.

Angie cooked a fabulous Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. It was also so special to welcome visits from residents’ families and loved ones, making the day even more meaningful.

We came together to listen to The King’s Speech, rounding off a very traditional and heart-warming Christmas Day.

A huge thank you to all of our amazing staff who worked so hard to ensure our residents had the best day ever — we couldn’t do it without you ❤️

We had a very enjoyable “Truth or Turkey” Christmas quiz 🎄🦃, packed with fun questions and lots of laughter. Residents also enjoyed guessing what was inside some Christmas-themed wrapped presents – a lovely extra bit of festive fun!

We were joined by a really lovely group of Sales Managers from Polyvine Ltd , who got in touch to ask if they could visit, bring cakes and other treats, and spend the afternoon spreading Christmas cheer with our residents – which they did in bucketloads ✨🍰

It was an afternoon full of fun, laughter, and festive spirit, and we would absolutely love to welcome the Polyvine team back again sometime.

Thank you so much for your kindness, thoughtfulness, and for bringing us so much Christmas cheer. We wish you all a very Happy Christmas 🎅🎄

What a wonderful lunch we enjoyed today with our residents and their families and friends 🎄
A fantastic spread was prepared by Kristy and Angie, with highlights being a beautifully dressed salmon, homemade quiches, and truly scrumptious cheesecakes and chocolate log. We received so many lovely comments about the food – very well deserved!

It was great to see so many families together, sharing such a special time. Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the day so enjoyable.

A huge thank you as well to all of our wonderful staff, especially the cooks and kitchen team, and to James and Chloe for all of their hard work and efforts.

Can we also take this opportunity to wish all our families and friends a very Merry Christmas 🎅🎄

✨ Christmas Jumper Day at Court House! ✨
Today we celebrated Christmas Jumper Day, and it was wonderful to see our team getting into the festive spirit and making donations in support of Save the Children. 🎄❤️

Not everyone could be here today, but part of our dream team were proudly representing—and of course our amazing colleagues who weren’t on shift are very much part of that team too. ⭐

I feel so lucky to work with such a fabulous group of people here at Court House. Our staff go above and beyond all year round to care for our residents, and we truly are one big family.

Thank you to each and every one of you for everything you do.

We had the most amazing visit from ‘Museum To You’ today – our very favourite activities visitors!

Frances delivered a really interesting workshop about the Gardens of The Bishop’s Palace, and it sparked so many lovely memories from our residents who had visited over the years.

We listened to some wonderful audio recordings from the Gardener at the Palace and also from Moira, the Swan Whisperer – what a fantastic title to have! We enjoyed seeing lots of beautiful photos of the gardens and, of course, the famous swans. It truly made for a fascinating afternoon.

To round things off, our residents got to roll up their sleeves for some card-making, which went down a treat.

Thank you so much, Museum To You – there was such a buzz while you were here and long after you left. We really appreciate how you include everyone, whatever their sensory needs.

We’re already looking forward to your next visit! 💐🦢✨

What a roaring success yesterday’s Strictly evening was!! We had lots of dancing, delicious food, disco lights, glitter galore - and Chris even treated us to 3 outfit changes. 💃🏼

Just look at this stunning disco ball cake made by Kristy! Incredible. 🪩 (tasted incredible too!)

Stay tuned - we have some videos to come of the couples dances and entrances that were even scored by a panel of judges. 😱❤️

Get your sparkle on! ✨
We’re rolling out the glitter carpet this Friday at 5pm for our Strictly Come Dancing Supper Club at Court House — and we’d love family and friends to join the fun! 💃🕺

Expect fabulous walk-ons, glam costumes, dramatic hand moves, a panel of resident judges… and plenty of laughs along the way!
