Chelmsford SOS Bus

The Home Office were invited to Chelmsford this week to look at a number of crime reduction initiatives which included the CCTV and our SOS Community Bus. They were very interested in how we save hospital admissions, ambulance call outs and wasting Police time. In addition we discussed the use of the buses regarding health prevention issues such as health checks (BP, Cancer Screening, Diabetes) which was very well received by the Home Office Team.

Thank you to Steph our wonderful Tesco Community Champion for meeting some of our Open Road Vange and Phoenix Futures staff. Service Manager Lauren, Team Manager James, Engagement Coordinator Jamie, Rough Sleepers Worker Jodie and Alison, the Community Team Manager for Futures Together will be a part of various initiatives running from Pitsea Tesco including Drop In's, Customer Support/Interventions, Service Group Work and Staff Training.

An exciting partnership that was already strong is about to get stronger for the good of our community.
