Training in the gym strengthens your muscles. Think of your mind being a muscle that requires training too. Think of difficulties and life problems as the weights, and your minds response as the muscle strengthening. Facing hardship strengthens the mind the same way a weight strengthens the body. We just don’t see the muscle in the mind.

Small throw back to my last fight 2 years ago!

Towards the end of 2020, my dad was diagnosed with a multi-focal and inoperable brain tumour (totally embedded in the central/front part of the brain) called a Glioblastoma 4 multiform.

Glioblastoma's are a very low-profile cancer in terms of knowledge and research, and this is partly due to the fact of only a 1-2% expected survival rate after diagnosis, with death occurring in the short term for the majority of people, leaving little opportunity to study the tumours.

Having completed an UltraMMA event back in 2019, and seeing another event would be running on the 28th August 2021 I thought this was a perfect opportunity to continue raising awareness of Glioblastoma and continue to give back to the cancer research in the UK.

So many people have been so generous in supporting my dad throughout the past 8 months since diagnosis and we cannot thank them enough!

I know most people will have already donated to our own GoFundMe for my dad specifically, but any donations to support Cancer Research UK would be incredible! Plus you'll get to see a few pictures of me getting beaten up!
