Our mission has always been to supply authentic herbs Unfortunately, the herbal market is saturated with sulphur treated herbs. These herbs may be cheaper, brighter in appearance or have a longer shelf life 🌿

Da Zao is grown in the Shandong and Henan provinces in China on the bush of the Jujube tree. They are harvested in the autumn when the fruit is matured and ripen to a naturally bright red. We pick and wash the fruit, before starting the processing method. The fruit is then fried with honey (Mi Zhi) 🍶

Da Zao absorbs the water from the washing and the sugar from the processing – making it the perfect breeding ground for mould to grow. As we do not use adulterants like sulphur to preserve our herbs, we have decided to stop importing Da Zao as we cannot guarantee an adequate shelf life for this herb ❌

Our Story

In 2011, our Managing Director George He set out to build a truly honest company to supply authentic, DaoDi grown herbs without sulphur, pesticides and herbicides. Having been in the industry for 20 years and seen a pollution of poor quality and unofficial substitutes, he wanted to make a change to herbal medicine by raising the standards. From the beginning, we’ve committed to supplying only herbs that not only meet EU standards, but also our rigorous quality control checks.

We believe that in order for herbal medicine to truly be of benefit to the public, it must be of utmost quality and certified 100% safe and effective for treatment.

Since then, we’ve challenged the status quo by taking control of the manufacture of our acupuncture needles so that we can skip the middle man and provide premium quality needles at great value prices.

Furthermore, we’ve also heavily investing in research and education to help develop the industry of Chinese medicine to benefit those in need.
