November at Broomfield Village 💚

As we get ready to roll into a very festive December, we wanted to take a moment to look back at the wonderful month we’ve had here at Broomfield Village.

From movement and music sessions with our brilliant in house physio Kristina, to the sweetest cuddles at Songs & Smiles, November was packed with moments that made us smile. 🥰

We enjoyed pampering with Janet and Hannah, and of course kept our minds sharp at Friday Crossword Club, Broomfield Village was filled with warmth and laughter all month long.🗓️

It’s been a month of joy and all our favourite things! December is set to be even more magical. Follow along to see what we have in store! 🎄

The Christmas Countdown Begins… 🎄✨

This week, our busy little Christmas elves have been spreading joy around Broomfield Village, delivering advent calendars to all our residents and team members.

Everyone is now all set to start the festive countdown on Monday, one sweet treat at a time! 🍫

A Festive Afternoon at Broomfield Village Hall 🎄✨

What a wonderful time we had at today’s Christmas Lunch at Broomfield Village Hall Charity! It was such a joy to support the event and spend the afternoon surrounded by great food, festive cheer and truly lovely company.

A huge thank you to Donna and the Village Hall team for always putting on the most amazing events for our community, you never disappoint! 💚

We hope everyone enjoyed their cuppa and homemade shortbreads when they got home. ☕️

Welcoming Councillor McKinlay to Broomfield Village 💚

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Cllr McKinlay for a visit and tour of our beautiful home. Louise has spent many years serving the local community through her work in both Brentwood Council and Essex County Council, championing families, community projects and positive change across the area.

Cllr McKinlay enjoyed meeting our residents, learning more about life at Broomfield Village and, of course, no visit would be complete without a slice of cake from our talented in house pastry chef! 🎂✨

It was a pleasure to share what makes our community so special. 💚

Spreading Christmas Cheer Together 🎄✨

This week we welcomed our local Cubs group into Broomfield Village for a wonderfully festive evening of Christmas card making with our residents.

The room was full of laughter, creativity and chatter as generations came together to share ideas, swap stories and sprinkle a little magic over every card.

A huge thank you to the Cubs for bringing such joy, moments like these truly make the season special. 💚🎄

Celebrating International Men’s Day 2025 💙

Today we celebrated all the incredible men who make up our Broomfield Village family! Our wonderful gents living in the home and our brilliant team members.

We filled our Appreciation Tree in the Garden Café with heartfelt messages, each one written to recognise the kindness, strength and the joy they bring to everyday life.

Everyone was invited to pick up their message and feel the love! A simple gesture, but one that meant so much. 💙

Training Complete. Let’s Go, Team!💪

The last two weeks have been packed full of learning, laughs and lots of lightbulb moments as we welcomed our amazing new team to Broomfield Village!💚

From nutrition and hydration training to hands on experiences with blindfolds and headphones, our new team have been learning what it truly means to deliver care with heart! ⭐️

We’re so excited to see them out in the communities from Monday, ready to make people feel special, every single day.

From M&S to Music. A Day Out Done Right!🛍️

Nothing like a little trip into Chelmsford! A few of us popped into town to top up our winter wardrobes at M&S, cosy layers, stylish picks and a few essentials made it into the bags...

And just as we were heading home, we stumbled across a brilliant band playing in the high street, the perfect soundtrack for a fun afternoon out 🎶🧣✨

Today, we gathered at Broomfield Village to quietly reflect and remember.

Together with our residents, we honoured all those who served and those who continue to do so with stories, silence, and shared memories.

It was a peaceful moment of reflection, pride and gratitude, held with warmth and respect by all.

We will remember them.

Bang, crackle, pop! 🎆

Guy Fawkes Night at Broomfield Village Care Home went off with a bang!

We loved welcoming the local Beavers group to help make Guys, before enjoying our own fabulous firework display with bratwurst hot dogs and jacket potatoes.

Such a warm and wonderful evening with our community! 💥🌭🥔
