Home Instead Chelmsford, UK

Home Instead Chelmsford, UK Home Instead branch in Chelmsford, we provide a non-medical bespoke service. Welcome to Home Instead for Chelmsford. Home Sweet Home! There is no place like Home!

Small phrases with very deep meaning. Providing dignified and person-centred care, so as to allow anybody to stay in the comfort and familiarity of their own home, for as long as possible – this is what motivates us and our CAREGivers at our office here in Chelmsford. From our Home Instead branch in Chelmsford, we provide a non-medical bespoke service to any client who needs care and help, as well as providing support to their family. Our postcode areas include CM1, CM2, CM3 (1-4), CM8 and CM9. While our companionship service allows our clients to feel secure and motivated, our home help service helps them to manage their everyday life and keep them safe. Our personal care service maintains their well-being and maintains their dignity. We believe that in order to properly care for someone, a minimum of an hour is a must. We can provide care for as little as one hour per week, or as much as 24 hours/day. We will fully assess the needs of the client and to understand what care they need whilst explaining the support and choices available to them. We encourage them to express their views and to be involved in making decisions relating to their own care. We will fully respect their privacy and dignity. Our support will help them to remain independent for as long as possible, and we understand the importance of continuity of care. We will also listen to the views of those acting on their behalf, enabling them to be involved in making appropriate decisions relating to the care of their loved ones. Representing the company, our CAREGivers have been selectively hand-picked for their caring and dependable attitude, as well as having had a thorough background check with enhanced CRB and references. Caring comes from the heart and allied with skills through personal life experiences, we build on these qualities through our intensive training, support and teamwork. We will carefully select our CAREGivers to match our client’s needs, thus allowing both CAREGiver and client to build a relationship with each other and to enjoy each other’s company. When you choose us to provide care for you or your loved ones, you will find a company with a ‘can be bothered’ attitude, who will not only treat your family as our own, but also ensure your well-being. You are always welcome to pop in to our offices to find out more or please just give us a call. We will be delighted to help. Michel Sun Wai

🩵 Raynaud’s Awareness

Cold hands or feet aren’t always “just the cold”.

Raynaud’s is a condition that affects blood flow to the fingers and toes, often triggered by cold temperatures or stress. It can cause colour changes, numbness, tingling, and pain affecting people of all ages, not just older adults.

Raising awareness helps people recognise the signs, seek support, and manage symptoms early.

Understanding conditions like Raynaud’s allows us to provide more thoughtful, person-centred care. 🤍

Myth vs Reality: Care Edition✨

Myth: Care means losing your independence.

Reality: Good care is designed to protect independence, supporting people to continue doing what they can, in the way that works best for them.
Care should empower, not take over. It’s about helping people live safely, comfortably, and on their own terms.

At Home Instead Chelmsford, care is delivered in the comfort of people’s own homes, allowing them to stay independent, maintain familiar routines, and remain connected to their community. Our approach focuses on personalised, one-to-one support that adapts to individual needs — helping people feel confident, respected, and supported while continuing to live life their way.

❤️ National Heart Month ❤️

This February, we’re raising awareness for National Heart Month and the importance of looking after our heart health.

Small changes like staying active, eating well, managing stress, and getting regular check-ups can make a big difference to our overall wellbeing.

At every stage of life, a healthy heart helps us live well and stay connected to the people and moments that matter most.

🎉 Feel-Good Friday 🎉

There’s nothing like a bit of fresh sea air and a change of scenery to lift the spirits.

One of our clients enjoyed a lovely outing to the pier, taking in the views, enjoying the moment, and making the most of a simple pleasure that means so much.
These are the moments that remind us why person-centred care matters. Supporting people to continue doing the things they love, at their own pace, with dignity and support.

Wishing everyone a happy, relaxed weekend from all of us 💙

On behalf of Father John at All Saints Church, Home Instead is supporting a heartfelt appeal for blanket donations to help patients receiving end-of-life care.

The Palliative Care Team and Butterfly Volunteers at Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) are currently experiencing a shortage of blankets for patients.

🧶 How you can help
-Volunteers are invited to knit or crochet blankets for patients. (Donated knit and crochet welcomed)
-Blankets should be approximately 48 x 48 inches (122 x 122 cm)

If you’re unsure about colours, the team often receives requests for football team colours, including:
blue & white, red & white, black & white, maroon & pale blue, yellow & black, pale blue & white, and red, white & black.
That said, any thoughtfully made blanket will be warmly received and deeply appreciated.

📞 To donate finished blankets, please drop off at Home Instead Chelmsford Office Alexandra House, Suit D, 36a Church Street, Great Baddow, CM2 7HY.

💬 A message from PAHT
Caroline Hocket, Head of Nursing for Specialist Palliative Care at PAHT, shared:
“A handmade blanket may seem like a small gesture, but to our patients and their families it means comfort, dignity, and compassion when it matters most. Every single blanket donated makes a real difference.”
