When negative thoughts come, and they will, don't just ignore them. Instead:
-Pay attention. Stop what you're doing. Close your eyes, if it's safe.
-Replace the negative thought with a positive opposing thought.
-Hold the positive thought in your brain for a minute, or more.
-When you do this, neuroplasticity – the brain’s ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections – starts to work in your favour.
-The 2 keys are:
1. Attention density – the amount of attention paid to a particular mental experience over a specific time
2. Holding the thought long enough for your brain to begin to create new 'channels.' or roads in your brain.
The more you think the same positive thoughts, the stronger these roads will become, eventually growing into super highways. You won't be able to resist these positive thoughts and the old negative highways will become overgrown with weeds and forgotten.
You have the power to literally change your mind!

• It isn’t necessarily true
• Where does it come from?
• Learn to question & filter thoughts

For instant stress relief. MOVE! Yes, moving helps to disperse your stress hormones -that's why it's called the flight/fight/fright response. The flight part is the escape from danger. Sugar is released into your blood to give you energy and muscles are tense and primed. So just move! This will help to disperse the stressful feelings.
If you're in the car - jiggle in your seat (if it's safe to do so).
If you're at work, get up go to the loo and walk on the spot or jiggle or stretch or do squats or all of them!
At home? Put on some music and dance and sing!
If you keep at it for long enough, you'll release endorphins which will really give you a boost.
