๐ข DO get up slowly from the massage couch to avoid feeling faint.
๐ง DO drink plenty of water to assist with rehydration and the detoxification process.
๐ท DO avoid toxins such as alcohol and caffeine as these will dehydrate your body.
๐ DO rest your body and avoid vigorous activity for at least 24 hours. Your muscles may feel sore for a couple of days after a sports massage as they are recovering.
๐ฅ DO avoid a heavy meal soon after the massage as it may make you feel bloated or lethargic.
๐ฟ DO avoid taking a hot shower soon after a massage. Hot water may increase muscle inflammation. A warm shower or bath will help the muscles to continue to relax, wait a few hours after the massage if possible.
๐ง DO relax and rest your body and mind.
๐ช DO continue to stretch and strengthen your muscles in between your massage appointments.
